Gretz: Chiefs/Cassel Practice Update 9/9

Chiefs/Cassel Practice Update 9/9
September 9, 2009 - Bob Gretz |

From the Truman Sports Complex

QB Matt Cassel was back on the practice field this morning as the Chiefs went through their Wednesday session in preparation for Sunday’s regular-season opener against Baltimore.

In the short window where practice is open to the media, Cassel did pretty much the same work he did during Monday’s practice. He worked that injured left knee in the position drills, although he did not take part in any drill that required movement beyond a pass drop. Cassel worked some on hand-off timing with the running backs and then threw to the wide receivers.

Just as he did on Monday, Cassel did not look brisk in his pass drops. He did seem willing to put more pressure on his left knee on the follow through, however.

Todd Haley had the entire roster working in the full pads practice that was held outdoors under cloudy skies and muggy conditions.

We’ll update after practice when Haley and the players are available to the media.

That knee will loosen up after he takes a few shots.

Haley said he'll be listed as questionable

The Ravens defense is licking their chops. This boy is dead meat.

There's a shocker.

He'll be listed as questionable all season long.

Yeah, that badass Ravens team that pussed out of playing in Pittsburgh on Thursday night. You guys are scared douchebags.

KyleProBoller 09-09-2009 02:12 PM

The entire Chiefs team should be listed as questionable.

Wouldn't it be ironic if Flacco was grabbing his knee and writhing in pain on the ground? Pride precedes the fall.

BTW, just a friendly reminder to you and the other dwellers of the STD capitol of the world that it's almost time to apply the creme.

We should have kept Pollard for the Ravens game and then cut his ass...after he performed his duties.
