iPhone 4 just took a bath

I think my contract w/ AT&T expired in Oct. most of my music is bought through iTunes and I listen Fo stuff a lot.

What kinda options do I have? I'm intrigued by a larger phone like a Note.

App wise I use a free cell app a lot along with tapatalk and twitter / FB.. And sadly snapchat.

Any advice about what I should do is welcome. Good responses will probably be repped and possibly casino cash.

Please help.

Discus.

Yep, i been using apple for a while, but recently an iphone, but i had an ipod touch a few of them and bought alot of music/apps n shit, but i want to go android or WP for my next phone. I done with all apple product, but ****, the music i bought n apps are gonna go down the drain. lol

Thats how they get ya and make ya think twice.

Go try them in person instead of reading a bunch of reviews from folks that are emotionally bought into one camp or another. The variance of how each flavor of Android works makes this pretty important anymore.

Of course if the iPhone 4 was fine for you, you could get another for free (with a contract of course).

I just looked at the Galaxy S4 yesterday at Best Buy. Very nice phone. The Note II is also nice. I'd head to Best Buy and check them out. I have the iphone and am seriously considering going with the S4. It had a comfortable feel to it. I am waiting until a 32Gb model hits the store. Apparently the 16Gb uses up nearly half the space for OS/preinstalled crap. Then I will drop a 64Gb sdcard in there and I will be rolling in space.

I just switched from blackberry to the iPhone. My wife has had a couple iPhones and switched to the galaxy s3. She made it 3 days and it dropped and now she has a shattered screen. Her first iPhone went swimming when the kids thought it should go in the fish tank.

If you do go to another iPhone, invest in one of these:
Lifeproof case. It's a waterproof case and works great. Pay the extra for the real one and not the cheaper knockoff from eBay.

Love my Galaxy S III. Price is right. Researched the S 4. Went with the S 3. First smart phone. Never fell into the Apple trap of downloading music, and am glad. Either get a new I phon, or bite the bullet and dump apple. Android OS is smooth.

Update: the thing came back to full functionality.

Last night it was stuck in headphone mode; external mic and speakers weren't working.

I sleep for 5 hours and it works again. All of this without a case and a crack across the screen.

Well played, Steve.

Yeah, I was going to ask if you were sure it was fried. Many times they can get wet, and still be fine.

I would recommend turning it completely off and putting it in a sack of rice or something, just to make sure. I wouldn't use it for a few days, to let it fully dry out.

Rice works, but not as well as silica beads. Go to a craft store and buy some, put them in a tupperware dish, then plop the phone in there. It will absorb far more liquid than any other method.

My buddy accidentally left his in his pocket. Wife immediately washed it. Didn't noticed. Dried it. Works like a champ to this date.

I recommend the dryer. :D

yup, I save all the little bags that come in shoe boxes and some electronics for just this reason.

Yep. Guy at Best Buy advised me of this a while back. You can dump it in the toilet and then use this method and they'll never know it was water submerged. They'll just think you spilled something on it.

Your wife washes your buddies pants? You might need to confront her about it.

I know....I'm thinking of getting the Note II because my T-mobile expires in July. Don't know who I want now and get the Note.
