still think we should have Gordon batting 2nd or 3rd

I like him where he is. The Tribe used to bat Sizemore 1st and Gordon reminds me a lot of that situation. Let him hit there...he does good

if we are truly contending around the trade deadline we're still going to need to go after a staff ace and sell out for 1 year of a Cliff Lee or something

who are the potential aces that are on 1 year contracts that we can sell one of our top prospects for when the time comes?

I think Escobar would be a salty leadoff.

Oh no. I don't think we should. I was just making an observation. I like the lineup as is.

Hootie 04-09-2013 09:13 PM

yeah, so dumb

we have a guy who hits constant extra base hits and we're batting him leadoff

just doesn't make sense...Gordon should be in the 3 hole

This team is trying to compete, and it's probably about an 82-85 win type club. Detroit is a 90+ win club. It is a long season, but every single game matters if they want to win the division. That said, I'd say Ned has demonstrated proper patience thus far.

Hootie 04-09-2013 09:13 PM

and getting protection from Billy Butler? Gordon could rape in the 3...he could be a ...

100/25/120 guy

Mike Sweeney in his prime kind of guy

How many times do you have to see them move him there and watch his hitting drop off to figure out it doesn't work???

Some of you just need to STFU and watch the game

Hootie 04-09-2013 09:14 PM

yeah and as soon as Herrera blows one save all of the sudden it'll be a "OMG CROW TIME! JFC NED!"

best case scenario is we will blow 5 saves in the 9th this year...

it just happens

if Gordon is such a pussy that his head prevents him from hitting in the 3 spot then I can't wait until this team actually makes a postseason to see how well he performs under that pressure
