There is good reason if the guy is covered and he's going to throw the interception instead.

baldwin turns his head to the QB at the 1st down marker and keeps going, but at 3/4 speed, still looking back. Dex runs the out route to the 1st down marker precisely as Baldwin clears the route.

I'm gonna say Baldwin ran the wrong route. He was supposed fly, the deep play while also clearing that first down marker route underneath for Dex.

What does it matter what route Baldwin ran? Smith threw the ball at the cameraman.

Alex has good protection. There's no reason to throw that ball away.

The line is doing a great job but whoever that was working on Cyrus was about to get by him.

I agree though, Smith was definitely being lazy. Looks like be had a ton of space to roll to the right and make something happen.

Alex looks like a guy who gives up on a play too easy. I don't think he sees the whole field.

Sounds familiar. Glad we drafted a tackle #1 overall so he doesn't have to give up so quickly.

Like falling to the ground?

By falling do you mean sliding or kneeling?

Throw away is what he will sometimes do. He is a careful, conservative QB. He doesn't want the interception and he won't risk it.

Our wide receivers really don't get open much. He is going to have to start throwing it to Bowe even when he looks covered. That trust will come. Also, I hope to see Avery with the ones. We have major wide receiver problems. I felt discouraged after watching that performance.
