Yes it is

Yes, and one of the best and most disturbing films I have ever seen. Hollywood just needs to keep its grubby paws off this one.

I read an interview a few months back where either Lee or Brolin claimed the octopus scene would be in there. We'll see.
Lee has a lot of misses, in my opinion, but I think he could do a good job with this.

Weak, in the original he doesn't know who his daughter is when he gets released which is kind of the whole point.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK Spike Lee. He blew his wad when he made Do The Right Thing.

I think the chick helping him could be his daughter (like in the original). The girl on TV could just be there to throw him off. It won't be Oldboy if they take the most disturbing thing out of it, I hope they don't.

The twist is still the best I've ever seen.

Apparently Spike stuck pretty close to the spirit of the original Oldboy. I've heard that it hasn't been sanitized at all. That being said, I have no desire to see this movie. There is no reason for this to exist, the original is one of my favorite films of the last decade and I just don't want to see the story done with different actors.
