Not only has Crennel not beaten Peyton since 04, they had been cheating the otherside of the ball. Get real. This is a good move for any team. Just admit the jealousy. My co-workers are dying from the laughter at this board. I told them two weeks ago when you guys THOUGHT you were in the mix and how great he is. But I informed them that once you lost out that he'd be a no-talent broke-dick QB and look at your community today.

So would say Peyton's numbers against Crennel are good? 9 tds and 14 picks in 9 games including ZERO tds in the last three games.

Thats part of being a fan. Over at donkeymane, I bet fans that were blowing tebow two months ago are now glad to see him gone.

I wanted manning in KC. Still doesnt change the fact that, outside of Von and Elvis..denver is remarkably average. Does Manning make denver the favorite? possibly, because this league is skewing the rules to favor the position.

Even though we have a huge pile of crap at QB, Ill take this well-rounded young team over your donkeys 10 times out of 10.

Brady, Brees, Manning, Rogers, Cassel, Rivers.

Intially I thought it was a good idea, because the Chiefs have alot more pieces of the puzzle than the Broncos, IMO. Then the realization hit, that it was a stop-gap with a 36 year old QB, who hasn't played in a year's time, coming off a serious injury, who's main concern is money.

It's a major risk that could pay huge dividends or backfire miserably. That's not that hard to figure out, but by all means...

Not me. I'm pissed that the Chiefs didn't get him and our division rival did instead. My only hope is that he never completely heals and plays up to his previous level.

Either way, it doesn't matter what Denver does. The Chiefs need to wake the &*%^ up and realize that the QB position needs upgraded.

Nope. She didn't care at all about NFL football when we met. I kept pushing her to pick a team, assuming she'd pick the Chiefs. She chose the Donks just to spite me and to be "funny". But over the years she actually became an actual fan. I'd say she's been a Donkey fan for at least 15 years now. Sucks.

But it gives us something to fight about on Sunday's without really fighting. I'm a MUCH bigger Chiefs fan than she is a Donkey fan too, so there's that.

Yep. The Chiefs QB position will kepp them down ...again.

I just don't get why Manning wouldn't have the Chiefs as a serious contender in this race. He would have one of the best WRs in the league, one of the best RBs, an up and coming star in Baldwin, a very good slot in Breaston, a good young TE in Moeaki, pretty good o-line, great defense, coach that he respects. Broncos fans I know consider my opinion on this as biased, but they're just as biased for disagreeing with it.

Could be about relationships, stability, image etc. Denver holds the edge in all 3. Denver is considered a "Have" and KC, a "Have Not" in NFL circles.

That's what I said, but according to Bronco Superfan that I know, the Broncos were a great choice because they have 2 good WRs in Decker and Thomas, great o-line, great defense. I'm just biased in thinking that KC has the better all around team minus QB of course. Plus all the analysts are saying what a "GREEEAATT FIT" Manning is in Denver. So he throws that at me lol.

I'm cautious of it as well Ed. If Denver goes out and gets a young QB to learn under Manning I'll feel much better about it. That and getting rid of Tebow.

THIS!

aturnis 03-19-2012 01:12 PM

Manning never beat Romeo in New England did he? Then, as soon as Romeo left, Manning started beating New England.

Manning beat Romeos Browns twice while he was the head coach, but scored only 13, and 10 points. Romeo's defense still had his number, just couldn't get it going with the offense.

Manning beat Romeo's Kansas City defense in 2010 when the Chiefs allowed the Colts to score 19.

All in all, from 2001-2011 Romeo Crennel is 6-3 against Peyton Manning. Crennel knows how to take the head off a snake. Look what he did to Green Bay.

I think we can all agree this isn't the same Chiefs defense as it was in 2010, and that Peyton isn't playing with the same offense he had in Indy.

Denvers actually had 2 of it's 5 Olinemen ranked among the worst for their position by PFF. One, C, will probably be replaced by Jeff Saturday.

The Broncos have SHIT for receivers.

****ing THIS.

matt cassell says what?

before this i was actually a little worried about tebow being in the west. now with this charade i can definitively say Cassell is the best starting QB in the division

I think we should have a message board donation drive, and use the money to put out a bounty on Peyton Manning.

I wonder how Denver's line makes another adjustment? they were all shanrat zone blocking and then they learned McDaniel's Offense, last year changed to a college option for tebow, now those linemen have to become traditional pocket protectors for Manning?

Refresh my memory, How did Tamba do against Clady in 2010 when the broncos tried to have a pocket making passing attack?

This is good and all, but the thing that scares me is that they are going to sign Dallas Clark.

This defense against good TE's is not good news. Especially with a good QB like Manning at the helm.

You just know he will expose us all day long because our linebackers can't cover, and neither can Kendrick Lewis(even though he is not a LBer, he just sucks in man-to -man, and will get burned every now and then...guaranteed Manning will expose him) and aside from Hali, I don't think we have enough passrushers to generate enough pressure to rattle Manning and throw him off his game a bit.

If I were the chiefs, I'd be motivated to shore up the defense a little bit. I think they need to add another passrusher, get some linebackers in here that can cover. Even if it means replacing Belcher. Hey. Why not? maybe draft another safety or CB this year. I think they are going to have to fix the defense a bit. More tools are required when you are facing a QB of this caliber.
