NDP has one of 2 kegs in all of KC. It is unbelievable. Best stout ever.

ZWANZE DAY!! Almost time to leave for the Foundry to get in line!

Lonewolf Ed 12-01-2012 08:25 AM

I am going to try Abyss stout from Oregon's Deschutes Brewery today and have more Samuel Smith's organic chocolate stout.

I'm going to go on a private tour with some friends at Harpoon Brewery here in Boston today.

Should be a long filled day of drinking beer. I'm sure I'll get to sample a lot of good stuff!

Man, I'm really digging 80 Acre.

Tastes like mandarin oranges.

It's become my goto Boulevard product, replacing Unfiltered Wheat.

It hasn't come to that for me.

But, it has made it into my five top beers.

(which is still a small list, btw)

Zwanze Day was awesome....it didn't sell out either so some Cantillon bottles made it out of the bar and came home with me.

They had raffles and a gentleman at my table won one of the drawings for a bottle of 1997 Rose De Gambrinus (complete with nudie striptease label). He was nice enough to open it and share; that stuff was gooooooood.

drank a bunch of Gossamer Golden Ale - Half Acre Beer Company this weekend

not usually my style, but i've been worn out by ipas lately and this had just enough whiff of hops, and was crazy drinkable...or at least it was the perfect quaff while high

Drank about a quart of Founders Creme Brule Breakfast Stout tailgating at Arrowhead Sunday. Stuff was delicious. How did I know it was a quart? Drank it out of a Mason jar. Followed that by a pint of Tank 7 and a growler of Nutcracker. I may have given FDE a little bit of my Nutcracker. Not much though because he turned up his nose.

You mean Southern Tier Creme Brulee Stout? Or do you mean Founder's Breakfast Stout?

Maybe I mixed them together?

Heh. Definitely the Southern Tier. But I had it for Breakfast.

Either is fine. Both of those are pretty darn good. Breakfast Stout especially. One of my favorites, for sure.

I saw that PeaceTree is coming to Kansas. Got any recommendations? I remember you saying something about them a while back; from the Knoxville area, I believe.

I didn't even know that. I've never had a beer I didn't like from them. Though, their Cornucopia takes a minute to digest. Their flagship is Red Rambler and it's an every day drinker if you want.
