How dismal will our Offense be if....

Roaf retires, Welbourne stays retired.

I don't even want to contemplate Shields getting hurt.

I think we would be dreadful on offense 4-12 type dreadful.

It's a team game, and we have Larry Johnson. The defense would have to improve, but it has to improve at some point in the future. We could still be a wildcard team.

StcChief 06-24-2006 06:22 PM

Well it's a team game.
LJ would struggle 1000-1200 yards.
The LT (Turley/Svitek?) would get some serious playing time.
RT Sampson/Black.

More passing plays since Trent would have to be more mobile.

8-8 WC? Depends on who we beat

Baby Lee 06-24-2006 06:24 PM

In the end, we all die alone.

Mr. Flopnuts 06-24-2006 06:25 PM

If what you are saying is true Vlad my prediction would be the #5 defense in the league, a 9-7 record, and the 19th pick in next years draft. It just seems to be the way things happen in KC. I don't know if I can take another mediocre year of Chiefs football. Don't make me think about it. ARRRGGHHHHHHHHHHH I CAN'T HEAR YOU I CAN'T HEAR YOU I CAN'T HEAR YOU

Messier 06-24-2006 06:58 PM

Well, if Roaf retires and Sheilds does too, 4-12. If Roaf retires and Shields gets hurt and misses 7 games, 5-11. If Roaf comes back but gets hurt and Sheilds and Waters both get really bad colds 8-8. If all come back but Shields gets called in for Jury duty 9-7.

JBucc 06-24-2006 07:00 PM

We could adjust. Put Dunn on the left side and run a lot of two TE sets until the new LT gets comfortable. I don't know about the secondary though. Oh wait we could sign Ty Law with Roaf's money.

donkhater 06-24-2006 07:01 PM

I guess I would say that if this team is relying so heavily on a 36-year old offensive tackle, then they aren't good enough to get to the playoffs anyway so what does it matter?

blueballs 06-24-2006 07:03 PM

Welbourn-played 12 games
Roaf-10
they didn't lose all those
games they were out

This thread needs tk13. He had some good posts on Roaf's absence last year.

teedubya 06-24-2006 07:06 PM

All of Logicals threads have been really negative lately. Listen here you crotchety Bastard. Put a smile on your ****ing face, and let the ****ing sun shine in.

Hammock Parties 06-24-2006 07:08 PM

We were 3-3 without Roaf last year.

So maybe we're a .500 team without Roaf, but the defense WILL be improved this year.

Being as I believe we will likely be 8-8 or 9-7 if everything goes well I really doubt this prediction. Under these circumstances LJ will be luck to reach a 1000 more likely he will end up on the injured list after making a stalwart effort.
