2012 Baltimore Orioles repository thread

Now ChiefsandOsfan has a home. It's my gift to him and the few other O's fans here. Look here for all things Orioles.

If Baltimore wins the World Series this year this is the thread of the year.

I think the Royals are really going to turn it around now. I can feel us getting above .500 in the next 3 weeks.

Ceej 06-03-2012 07:12 PM

Hey guys!!!!

The Royals won today!!!!!

Two out of the past three wins have been shutouts!!!!

#bestalcentralrotation

Kyle DeLexus 06-03-2012 07:15 PM

If only the Royals played in the shitty AL East we'd never be under .500.

Ceej 06-03-2012 07:17 PM

We'd probably be undefeated if Meche didn't retire, and both Sanchez/Duffy didn't get hurt.

DAmn injuries!

ROFL this is a good one to end on for me. The O's can have the thread back as far as I'm concerned.

Going to the Orioles vs Pirates on Jun 14th at Camden Yards. I love that place..

Much better than the Nationals Park

I was there last year, should catch another one sometime this summer.

How 'bout them O's, hon?

They'll be out of it by July but I'm enjoying it now!

Two immediate things I hate about Nats Park: when you go to the food area and buy food, there is no where to sit. They have 25 tables and 20 are in the reserved picnic area. I hate dragging food back to my seat-it's such a mess.

Also, I like to order a mixed drink and they charge $12 for a shot of Ketel one with club soda. I get a free pour drink for $8 in the club level and there is plenty of places to sit and eat at Camden Yards.

In addition, there's NOTHING outside Nats Park prior to a game to hang out-Camden Yards got plenty of bars

Over the years I've probably been to 75 Royals games and they've easily lost 65 of them. They'd be on a 7 game winning streak and I'd stop it, then they'd win the next 4. Glory days or not I'm the game killer.

Very excited about the draft. For once it looks like they:

a) Didn't Reach
b) Take a Signability Pick
c) Take a "toolsy" player.

I'm exicted. DD's drafting tactics are so different than Andy McPhails. I like it so far.

Now, if we can get back on track and take 2 of 3 from the Red Sux.

Good show of faith, but Ryan is so far from Cal's talent tree, it isn't funny. I fully expect him to go to SC and try to refine his skills.

Okay.

Just how awesome would it be if Brian Roberts were to make it all the way back from those concussions? He seems to be playing well in his AAA rehab, and the Orioles need to do something with him by Tuesday.

I, for one, was certain he was done. I'd love to be wrong.

That's true and since he's going to be rusty he'll likely start slow. Royals fans aren't just bullshitting though when we say he's one of the few catchers who can truly change a game from behind the plate. His debut last year was so impressive it made us all pretty horny. From the way he calls a game/handles pitchers to that quick release on his machine gun arm... baserunners beware. he'll pick you off any base. His bat was a pleaseant surprise last year and having that back would really be icing on the cake. He's special.
