Anybody heard about the weather in Denver? A sloppy, wet mudfest could favor the Chiefs who rushed for 177 yds at Mile High last year. I hear it could also be cold.
Chiefs fans, don't think Gus is a weak link in Donk offense. He's a former PB QB and got the Lions to the playoffs last year. KC needs to run the ball against the Donx's soft rush D (5.0 ypc) in case the weather is nasty...

I just want a win, and I think sloppy cold conditions favor KC. Let's just hope we won't be depending on Stoyo's toe for the victory.

Last time it snowed at Mile high, KC beat the Donx 21-7 while rushing for nearly 200 yds. Come on snow!

I'd expect Denver's offensive line to hold up a hell of a lot better than our defense if there's a whole lot of running plays. We'll need to have a solid lead by the 4th-quarter, I feel. Also, I hope we're able to do a good job of rotating in fresh players.

Anywho - I'm not sure why everyone is caught up with the weather. It's in Denver, so it's not like this is the first time they've been exposed to the Colorado elements.

I think Anderson can play 'maulball' with the best of them. Denver's OL is playing well and should give Gus the protection that he needs.

I earlier posted a 37-27 victory by the Broncos. I'd like to revise that number...

IMHO, if it snows it's BAD for the Chiefs. Denver is the team that CAN and WILL run. The Chiefs THINK they can, but they CAN'T RUN the ball effectively this year. They have ONLY been able to run the ball successfully once, and that's because they opened up the offense. If the weather or the coaching staff's stubborness prohibits the Chiefs from opening things up - it will be a LONG day for the Chiefs.

Relax, TX. The Chiefs can run on Denver and so can most teams. Bad weather favors a ground game, and the Donx definitely have one. But if you don't think the fact that Denver gave up 365 yds rushing to KC in '99 is a factor, you are smarter than the Denver O/C. I KNOW he's on top of that stat and that he's worried about it.

I'm just hoping that Gunther does not use the muddy weather as an excuse in his postgame press conference when asked why he didn't let Elvis throw the ball more than 5 times today.

Ferrotte is the key today. If he chokes up and is unable to keep the Chiefs defense honest with his passing then we can stack Anderson all day. Denver has not been frustrated yet on offense and a few 3 and outs will make them start pressing.

The Chiefs on the otherhand KNOW what 3 and outs are all about and can adjust accordingly.
