Titus Young
Just got released. Chiefs are first in line on the waiver wire. They need to jump on this kid.
|
You're pretty bad at this
|
Go **** yourself.
|
being a BSU fan i wanted us to draft him very badly, but he had these kinds of issues at BSU and figured he would grow up.. Doesn't appear he has. I'd love to have him but don't think he'll ever get his shit togeather
|
He's worth the risk, signed for the next two years for next to nothing, if Bowe leaves, we have nothing at WR, need to add some quality talent for depth.
|
No. Why would you want someone that INTENTIONALLY hurts the team?
|
|
Sounds like like he has some issues.
No thanks. Finding a 5'11 speed WR shouldn't be that hard. WRs are made by QBs anyways. |

Doesn't fit the right 53.

No. Would you seriously want this guy as your neighbor?

Yes because we need a malcontent asshole on this team.

Lets go Dorsey! Get this guy in Chiefs Red!

Although, would be an interesting move to bring him in with a 100% zero tolerance policy. One wrong move and you're out, period. He and agent understanding that if he got cut twice within a couple of months it could mean the end of his career (if that point has already been reached). The problem is that it doesn't seem like this kid has any sense at all, so the thought that there wouldn't be a 3rd chance probably wouldn't resonate with him. |
People said the same stuff about Randy Moss too. I think that worked out pretty well.

And Randy Moss actually has talent. |
Look, the Chiefs are first in line to pick him up. Why not do it? He's a great talent and fits a huge need on this team as a deep burner. If he starts acting up or doesn't produce, you can just cut him. It's not that hard to process really.
|
I can't think of anyone I'd want less.
How do you mitigate someone that's trying to screw you on the field? |

Titus Young doesn't have the talent to do what Moss did on the field. |

He is talented, sometimes guys learn after the first shitfest.
Can never have too much talent, but he seems to far gone at this point. Probably a no. |
Citing a team source, Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com reports that the Lions have waived wide receiver Titus Young.
The move is not the least bit surprising. After falling out of favor due to “behavior and attitude” issues during the season — the final straw being Young’s intentional refusal to line up in the correct spot on Thanksgiving against the Packers — the 23-year-old wide receiver practically begged out of Detroit. In late January, Young took to Twitter to blast the Lions’ organization, essentially declare himself a future Hall of Famer, and threaten retirement if the offense didn’t get him the football more often. Young is young and brimming with talent, and he’ll now be subject to the NFL’s waivers process. It will be interesting to see if a team claims him. Young’s 2013 base salary is scheduled to be $555,000. His contract, which lasts through 2014, also includes an offseason workout bonus of $50,000 and a training-camp reporting bonus of $184,666. So to take a flier on Young, the “risk” would be minimal. |
This guy burned bridges bad. No thanks.

I just find it funny that Chief fans all off season have been talking about using a 2nd or 3rd rd pick on a guy just like Titus Young and now you can have him for nothing albeit with some off field issues, and everyone is scared. This fanbase never makes any sense.

He does come for practically peanuts.

Sure. I think he'd do well in our O.

It isn't like he's getting a shit ton of guaranteed $$$.
|
I actually think he'd fit pretty well in Reid's offense, plus he's cheap.
Yeah, he's got some issues, but if he acts up, cut him. |

"Hello everyone and welcome to Titus Young Peanut Day here at Arrowhead Stadium" |
Didn't know we had so many Piol1ans on here. The right 53
|
i didn't realize how cheap he would come.
the dude can flat out play and has the abilities to be a great wr. Andy's been known to make chicken salad out of chicken shit before.. Why not for that cheap. I'm all in on doing it now. it would be like getting wallace (who is also considered a cancer) for a whole hell of a lot cheaper. |
This would be a very low risk (in terms of $$$) high reward acquisition. I would have no problems bringing him in. Andy Reid has dealt w/ some knuckle heads in his career (TO, DeSean Jackson), so I don't see the downside here.
|
I remember when half this place shit itself rotten because we didn't bring Charles Rogers in for a look.
I think that may have been the birth of the "bring him in for a look" meme. CP historians should correct me if I'm wrong. |
We do want our hopeful first round QB to have all the weapons he can. If we re sign Bowe, he would arguably be the 2/3 best WR we have, making basically nothing.

scary. Better draft a tackle |
Quote:
will steve boobieton regain his form? or will we rely on studs like copper? |
Bowe, Young, and McCluster would be a great trio of WR's as they all do different things, and if we get anything out of Baldwin, that would be great too. Plus, we wouldn't have to use a draft pick and would be able to focus that pick on something else.

Ya, he sounds like a great team player. Let's GIT HER DUN!
edit: that was sarcasm. I know most of you don't have the ability to pick up on it and take everything I say literally. |
He's obviously really talented, so bring him in and you know actually get him the ball.
|
This regime can't be afraid to make mistakes. That's what did the last one in. You'll never be a great team if you are afraid to make mistakes.

Really, this is a high reward, low risk move. Either he contributes and works out, or he doesn't and it doesn't cost much.
|
....and so the thread for every slapdick available begins. Grrrrrrreeeat.
|
The guy intentionally ran the wrong routes because he was pissed off.
no thanks .... ever. |
Titus Young letters can also be used to spell:
You song tongs tiny gust gouy gout out tint stun stunt suit stung and of cours, tits. Titus Young however, should not be a chief |
Meh. Inexpensive camp fodder at worst. Don't care either way.

you bring this selfish piece of sh*t into your locker room. Like the BSU kids because they usually are good character. Not this one. Not this one.

i dont know how i feel about this one
on one hand he is cheap, but immature, and is clearly a better talent than McCluster and Baldwin combined, and would essentially beat one, if not both out on the depth chart if the kid was mature. on the other hand he is not mature and is a big huge diva turd piece of trash and well im sure we can just draft a WR or sign someone of similar. |
Sign him release Baldwin.

This guy isn't mature enough to be a #2 receiver, and if Bowe's here that's the best he's going to be. |
I would take a flyer on him. You guys are over dramatic. He is an asshole, but have you seen Detroits coach? Jim Schwartz seems like the biggest douche bag ever. Now that doesnt excuse it, but i have a feeling that the two butting heads exaggerated the situation
