Of course we will not know that until software sales come in.

I've read statements from quite a few devs that the PS4 is a FAR easier environment to work with, FWIW.

As for Unreal Engine 4, the real innovation is in the toolset - they've made it INFINITELY easier and faster to work within the engine now.

However, visually the UE4 is 100's of times more powerful than UE3. The big issue is that we're at the point where large graphical changes are only partially perceptible to the naked eye...

Rumor is $449.

Well, the makers of the Unreal engine already HAVE a next-gen version (Engine 4).

If you're waiting on EA Sports to innovate, however, don't hold your breath.

Gameplay wise the PS2 version of NFL 2K was better IMO. The only way to innovate NFL games is to open the market back up. The console change means nothing in that regard. The NFL likes their exclusive contracts so they will never leave EA.

Yep.

I don't play Madden but NCAA 2004 was the best version of the game ever.

I seriously doubt that

$449 might be low enough for me to buy it before a price drop.

if the rumored chip to block playing rented or used games is true, this will be a flop.

Only if M$ goes the other way.

As it stands, BOTH systems have been rumored to be including this type of technology.

This.

Wasn't the PS3 around $700 at launch?

$600. And they know thats why it was so sluggish to sell. I see $499, no more.

4 dual core processors?

That seems odd. Why not just use 1 eight core? or 2 Quad Cores....

I doubt it as well. I'd say the base model will be in the $500-$600 range, from there they'll have the bigger HD console, add on's, etc. to make the next step up model in the $650+ range.

It's why I'm not overly concerned about when these new consoles come out because if anything, I'll wait for the first price drop.

I'm curious - who is interested in having 3d capabilities on their console, regardless of MS or PS?
