Islam's problem isn't that it's "not really a religion of peace", so much as the fact that its punishments are so antiquated. Most other religions dropped punishments like this centuries ago. They were still guilty of the same thing, Islam is just doing it in the wrong time.

Apparently blowing up buildings with people in them isn't considered as bad of a crime as this.
