Enjoyed a Yeti Oak Aged Chocolate Imperial Stout last night from Great Divide... a new favorite, but hard to find.

From my experiences the "Old Chicago exclusives" have been made by Boulder Beer in Colorado. They've always been pretty solid.

Old Chicago will have the Snowdrift Vanilla Porter on tap starting the 28th.

As well as...

• Samuel Adams Winter Lager
• Exclusive - OC Black Diamond Cocoa Porter
• Widmer Brrr
• Samuel Smith's Winter Welcome Ale
• Stella Artois Belgian Lager
• Odell Isolation Ale
• Boulder Beer Never Summer Ale
• Free State Winterfest
• New Belgium Snow Day

I'm a fan of Isolation Ale... or I was back in the day.

I need to try this. I've seen it several times.

I don't like Snow Day at all. I love winters and Christmas ales too. There's a specific spice that is way too strong in Snow Day. Suspect coriander.

I saw they were introducing it on the 28th last night while I was there.

I tried the Boulder "Hoopla." Pretty good stuff.

The Breckenridge Vanilla Porter was so-so.

Guess I'm gonna have to pick up some-a-that Bourbon County Stout.
Gomers has Unibroue La Fin du Monde on sale. picked up a couple 4 packs. it's a good holiday beer. at 9% you don't have to drink many of them...leaving room for turkey

La Fin du Monde is very tasty. Fine selection.

Phobia 11-21-2012 04:28 PM

I've been drinking La Fin Du Monde for over a decade. One of my favorite beverages. You can't go wrong with any brew from that brewer.

phisherman 11-21-2012 04:59 PM

Yep, Unibroue makes some darn fine beers. I have really started liking Trois Pistoles lately too.

Oh snap. Forgot about that. Good stuff, haven't had it since Pizza BY Stout in JoMo got blown away, but I know where to get it.

Yum.

Had some Zombie Dust by Three Floyds last night. Very tasty American Pale Ale. One of the best I've tried.

I bought a case this year straight from Three Floyds, the day after bottling. That was a top 5 beer of my life.

phisherman 11-27-2012 05:05 PM

Yep, this was purchased straight from the brewery as well just a few days ago. Such a fantastic beer. Even the smell is just about perfect.

One of my all time faves - amazing beer. I buy several cases of that every year when I'm out at 3F. Had a couple pints off a one-day old keg at the Map Room earlier this year - absolutely divine...

I can't decide if Citra or Simcoe are my favorite hop. ZD makes a very compelling case for Citra, but Surly Wet makes perhaps a slightly more compelling case for Simcoe. What's a beer lover to do?
