I hope he got enough signing bonus from the Faidahs to cover the return check charges!!!!

Does anyone besides me believe that these problems had more to do with Rison being cut than the "youth movement.?"

Just curious as what y'all think.

Yosef_Malkovitch 08-24-2000 03:51 PM

Yeah, he's a moron. When he stated, "I am the best receiver in the NFL", he meant receiver of stolen goods. Except, he didn't know about TamVan at the time....

AustinChief 08-24-2000 03:52 PM

I'm sure it didn't help Risons case much. Especially when compounded with the lying to the cops incident while at training camp. The faidahs deserve him. Good ridince once and for all.

This guy has to be the most financially irresponsible idiot I've ever read about in my life! Don't most pro players have accountants to help them budget their cash? Rison's been in the league for 12 years and should be set for life. I'd bet he has no savings and will file bankruptcy sticking his creditors with his debt. I have a feeling we'll be hearing about how he's destitute in a few years...

Don't most people grow up around 25? What's his deal?

I think Risons "move" to the Raiders had as much (or more) to do with his off field actions as it did with him growing slow and tired on the field the last two seasons.

Hunt and Peterson had to be tired of all the negative PR and said "it's time to get this guy the hell out of Dodge".......or KC in this case. <P>

ColoradoChief 08-24-2000 03:59 PM

You have to wonder just what in the hell he did with all his money. What a moron.

It couldn't have landed in a more appropriate place than the Raiders.

gh,
I'm with ya. I always thought his release had to do with his off field problems, or rather that the Chiefs knew more would be on the way.

HankStram 08-24-2000 04:16 PM

This guy is the epitomy of a MOE. Good riddance to bad cancer. How in the world can you bounce checks making the kind of money HE makes????? http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/confused.gif
(Fingerand thumb in L shape on forehead) what a LOOOOOOO-SER!

Maybe Rison had to fire his accountant so he had to balance his checkbook himself.

Mi_chief_fan 08-24-2000 04:44 PM

Timing for this is perfect: AFTER the Raiduhs signed him!

FloridaChief 08-24-2000 04:54 PM

We will welcome him back to town with open cuffs!

Hey b-squared......this could be trouble for Rison. I heard that he signed for 500K but zero signing bonus, so he'll be broke for a while.

I guess this is what he meant by "I think it was time for me to get out of KC"...
