I got a speeding ticket in KC once, noticed the radar the cop was using and said, “Hey I work for that company, probably had a hand in building and calibrating that radar for you.” The cop replied, “That’s great, sign here” and handed me the ticket.

I think the only thing that works is to hand them your ID and make sure they see your own badge as a cop. At least, that's what a cop friend of mine told me once. It worked for him.

Dude all of my law enforcement friends show their govt ID when pulled over and never ever ever ever get anything more than two minutes of shooting the shit and "take it easy, bud!" Of course, they're federal agents and not local badges. But I'd love to hear one of the cops here say they've actually ticketed another cop at some point. I'd be shocked.
