It's probably been discussed and was probably explained on tv..but i was at the game and right before the two minute warning we ran a play that the wr caught the ball and ran out of bounds with 201 on the clock. they took a tv timeout and then it was the two minute warning. Two plays later after an incompletion the refs added a second back on the clock.. was it a make up second? Talking to somebody who watched the game on tv and watching it at the stadium..there was clearly 201 on the clock

The only clock that matters is the official clock on the field, not the one you see on the scoreboard.

Which to me is surprising there isn't more discrepancies like that. There should be some type of system where the 2 are in sync. Then instead of a clock operator hired by the home team doing it the scoreboard would just be a reflection of the clock on the field.

Clock runs on the spot OB until 2:00 in the first half and 5:00 in the second half.
