It really sucks when a friend is hurting and you can't do more for them

A very good friend of mine lost her best friend a few months ago and is just hurting so much. She had seemed to be doing better lately but within the last couple of days she has been really starting to hurt again. She just wants her space right now and time to herself which is totally understandable. It's just times like these I really wish I could do more for her. If you guys can offer any prayers or good thoughts I would be very grateful for it.

Perhaps she will come to you when she is ready, and for now you can just make sure she knows you're available.

I'm sure she'll make it through. Best wishes!

Sounds like a girl I know here in Omaha that just lost her husband. Hard to watch

I think this was meant to be a prayer thread even though it isn't marked as one...:shake:

Just keep a eye on her and your request is done.

I don't think it is. Hopefully everything will be okay after her time to herself.

My sister's best friend slipped on her icy back steps and died last New Year's Day and died from the fall. I don't know if my sister will ever get over it, and all the "What if"s and "I shoulda been there"s.

So my point is I know how you feel. I hope your friend gets some peace. Also, de-ice your steps.

How old was the person who died? That seems like a story that would happen to old people but just curious

IMHO, being alone is the last thing she needs. Too much time to dwell and make your life feel worse when you are alone. I'd say do whatever you can to get her out and living again.
