Anyone catch it? The new . . . sitcom? from Louis C.K.

The end of his date in the pilot was one of the most absurd [in a good way] scenes in recent memory. Plenty of chuckles. Recommended.

i forgot to watch it.. i am hoping they show a replay this weekend or before next weeks episode.. i loved his HBO series Lucky Louie... absolute comedy

I thought it was very good, almost a perfect translation of his standup and humor into a "sitcom."

I like him as a stand up, so I'll check it out. I didn't like his old Lucky Louie show though. It just never really made me laugh. I kept feeling like they were trying to hard and I didn't really care for the supporting cast.

It was good, although my expectations were so high I was slightly let down. Several hilarious scenes though, with the bathroom, the old neighbor and the helicopter being highlights.

I really liked the last episode. Gervais was hilarious, although they may have hammered that note just a bit too long.

I cracked up at the riff on Indian givers.

I watched part, it was pretty meh IMO..

First couple of episodes were hilarious. Last night's didn't work for me. Although even on an off night, Louis CK's shit is funnier than 99.9% of "comedy" on television. Hope somebody other than me is watching so there's more than one season.

man, I think it's brilliant.....just the right part of intelligence vs. comedy.

This, yes this, Reaper, is the funniest show on television something like 3 episodes in.

It reminds me of like an art piece kind of thing, some of the scenes remind me of the movie Garden state just lonely flashbacks

Now that was some funny shit. Whole episode built around sex and death.

Oh, and was Cannivale a one off, or is he getting a regular gig on the show. It was weird just seeing him in a crowd.

My DVR-less ass finally found the time to watch this show today. I watched all ten episodes so far straight through and I wish there were more. Fantastic stuff.

Just went to see Louis at the Midland here in KC. I literally had trouble breathing a couple of times, I was laughing so hard. My stomach is going to feel like I did 100 situps tomorrow. Dude is just freakin' hilarious, money very well spent.

I wish I could have gone to see him live.

he was pretty good, as was the opening act.

I was also at the Midland, and had a great time.

I think "Word" is his best set since his HBO One Night Stand set from 2005.

Just got back from seeing him live. It was amazing. Second time I've seen him live, and both times were awesome. There were several times during the show when my wife had to make sure I was going to be ok because I was having crazy laughing fits.

For the other people who have seen Louis' Word tour, did he do the "Goodbye Jews" bit?

I dont think I would ever pay money to see him do stand up. I honestly don't think he is extremely funny. but his show Louie is ****ing brilliant. I swear that guy says exactly what I'm thinking...just in a funnier way.

His Stand-up owns. I like his show, but his Stand-up is better.

Just got back from a taping for Louie Season 2. It was just an hour and a half of him doing stand up at the Comedy Cellar (that club with the brick-wall background from the show). It was awesome. About 60% of it was material from his recent tour, 25% was newer stuff, and 15% was him just improvising and riffing on random thoughts.
He definitely has some good material for Season 2.

Season premier was kind of "meh".

That's what I thought until the fart. That made it good. But wasn't his best.

Not that it really matters, but Louie HATES KC.

a lot of celebs hate KC. Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew say KC is the worst too.

MUCH better episode. I was laughing the entire time, especially at his stand-up early on about looking at his belly while doing it.

I thought last night's episode was pretty good. Seemed short though.

I look like a mama dog. I cracked up at him spanking that wierd lady.

LOL, his facial expression during that scene was great. He was all like "okay, what about me" until she finally started sobbing.

There are alot of times I laugh at Louie CK because I don't know what emotion I am really feeling. Like the part when he is spanking that girl and she is crying. IDK how to feel about that, I am really not confortable laughing but I don't know what else to do.

I understand LOUIS CK the people who watch his show and his comedy are fans of his and they are going to yuck it up, but the comedian in me was like. The average joe or ma'am off the street isn't going to yuck it up at such filth. Get it right in that sweet spot where everyone can laugh at it. Thats why it is a pain in the ass for me to watch any comedies. I just want to rewrite the jokes to fit what is funny to me LMAO
