Reds.

It was insufferably long, insufferably self-aggrandizing and Warren Beatty is insufferable.

I almost left at intermission (yes, it was that long), but managed to stay another 15 minutes into the movie and couldn't take it any longer.

wow I gotta disagree with a lot of choices in here esp to the guy that said he hated The Assassination of Jesse James. I thought that was a masterpiece and should of been nominated for BEst Picture (over the terribly annoying Juno)

Steel Magnolias is a pretty good one if you are forced to watch a chick flick. The Notebook is tolerable as well, but I have the hots for Rachel McAdams, so that helps.

Yeah yeah, I'd turn in my man card by my wife took it from me already.

I thought TAoJJ was pretty decent. Still think There Will Be Blood is the real Best Picture from that year, but it's basically a Stanley Kubrick movie and I love Stanley Kubrick movies. Not to knock No Country, that was really good, too... but TWBB was awesome IMO.

Yeah, I said it GoCheifs. So what?

Not surprised, the book was horrible.

Speaking of watching a movie for puss, \dDidn't walk out of it, but got my fill of it. Back in the day a buddy and I went to see Legal Eagles at the dollar show. The next day, we [me and a different buddy] were hanging with some talent and they were like, 'let's go to the movies.' OK. . . Legal Eagles is at the dollar show . . . ummm, WTH let's go. Same movie twice in two days.

When I was a wee lad, I saw the Bond flick Live And Let Die twice in two days for a girl, but in my case it was for a young Jane Seymore, not a date.

The Amazing Spiderman.

Love that movie, love the 70s encroaching on the Bond persona. It's a hot mess, but it a FUN hot mess.

Haha. What exactly did you expect of that movie that would push you to start watching it but not finish it?

The girlfriend-at-the-time coaxed me in to it. After enduring ten minutes of Will Farrell screeching at me, I had had enough and simply clicked it off.

Summer of Sam. Only movie I've ever walked out of in the theater.

You shouldn't have stopped reading after the word "James." I mainly walked out because the people I was with hated it. I watched it later by myself and thought it was okay.

But just okay.

If you'd like to see what a great movie about Jesse James looks like, watch The Long Riders.

I rented Warm Bodies last night. I lasted about 25 minutes. It started out OK but turned into a Teenage sap fest.

Oh gotcha. Yeah I can completely understand how The Assassination of Jesse James would turn some people off. Its slow paced and there isnt much action at all.

And thanks for the recommendation. I'll make sure to check out The Long Riders.
