Craziest Physical Freak On Chiefs Defense?

We have some choices...Dontari Poe, Justin Houston...or THIS kid? Our 7th round pick! :hmmm: This D is exciting. With this freak and an improved Poe plus pro bowl caliber guys in Houston, Hali, Berry, Flowers and Johnson...could be best D in football. But from a physical standpoint size/speed/strength/athleticism combo i'll put Poe, Houston and Catapano against anybody in the NFL! My vote goes to Catapano. Check out this video, who moves like that over 280 lbs? ...although all those 3 are quite impressive http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlMQl66ACs4

Houston...

Sandy Vagina 09-14-2013 08:09 AM

First thought went to Houston, but there are definitely some other options worth considering.

BlackHelicopters 09-14-2013 08:13 AM

Houston

In58men 09-14-2013 08:16 AM

For how big Poe is, hands down it's him. Just imagine what he could do if he weighed as much as Houston. Oh weee

Hog's Gone Fishin 09-14-2013 08:19 AM

Let's see , Jerrel Powe's not with us any longer. I just don't know

ThaVirus 09-14-2013 08:28 AM

It would probably have to be Poe at the moment. Guys at 350 just shouldn't be able to move like be does..

But I'd throw DJ out there as well. I remember reports out of practice saying he was the fastest player on our team when we first drafted him. We weren't stacked with burners back then but that's still impressive.

Poe is now down to a healthier 335.... just sayin'....

Thank you. Forgot he wasn't eating BBQ anymore.

Poe

milkman 09-14-2013 08:41 AM

Athletically, it's Poe, and it isn't even close.

Agreed Poe is a damn freak!! But would love to be a fly on the wall and see Poe Houstin and Catapano train together and see what kind of numbers they put up. Poe I believe holds NFL record for bench at combine with 45 reps. I heard Houston does 405 for like 5 reps on bench and Catapano is deadlifting 630 lbs in this video like its a toy! He could probably approach the 800 lbs mark for a single rep....thats RARE and impressive strength!! And all 3 of them can fly! Catapano may be the fastest 280 lbs + guy in the NFL...and Poe is DEFINATELY the ONLY 340 lbs guy who can run a 40 in under 5 seconds...thats just nuts!!

Yep.

Pablo 09-14-2013 08:56 AM

It's easily Poe. A guy that big shouldn't be able to move that fast. It's just unnatural. Oh, and he's the strongest dude on the field too.

AussieChiefsFan 09-14-2013 08:56 AM

For his size, Poe is incredible.

Halfcan 09-14-2013 09:00 AM

There is something about Big Cat that reminds me of Jared Allen- the dude just does not stop- and seems nearly unblockable on some plays.

7th round steal for sure!!

Loved him prior to April... love him now. So glad he is a Chief, if not a 49er.

Quality starter to replace TJax when the time comes.

Tjax might end up having a great year. Too many other people for teams to worry about. He can just mop up after the destruction-lol

I dont see how this is a discussion.

Poe is an actual freak of nature.

Good thread - you're fitting in well, so far.

I like Houston, always did. I had a head start though by living down here and seeing UGA on the TV all of the time.

Thanks =) Houston is a freak for sure. Would love to see him break the 22 sack record! 19 in 15 games is possible with the supporting cast around him. Double him and it will free up Hali, Poe, Cat and others. This D is no one trick pony, they have SEVERAL guys who can get after the QB! Week 1 is very early still and we only beat up on Jacksonville but if there is any remedy for a high flying offense in Denver its a Defense who can get to the QB and a solid running game to keep an opposing HOF QB off the field...and we have BOTH!! ;)

Ace Gunner 09-14-2013 10:50 AM

if you aren't full jack'd up about this team right now, you are missing a lot of what is happening with this team. The vets in the house!! and a guy like Catapano adds that youth spice to those veteran players.

In58men 09-14-2013 10:52 AM

I would have put Eric Berry on the list. I think he's more athletic than Houston myself.

Simply Red 09-14-2013 10:55 AM

I'm very interested in tomorrow.

# of sacks against Cowboys?? I'm gonna say 4

Bewbies 09-14-2013 01:05 PM

It's Poe, but Bailey is a freak too.

wink91wink 09-14-2013 03:09 PM

Poe had like the most ridiculous combine ever. The guy is unnaturally athletic.

Bailey physical freak too...this defense is loaded with freakshows. Just saw on another thread that Houston power cleaned 420 lbs in college.....nobody does that. Crazy athletes on this team

SeeingRed 09-14-2013 03:23 PM

In fact compare the strength/speed and athleticism of our defense against anybody in the NFL and we'll come out on top. Mind boggling strength. Poe 45 reps (combine record) Houston 420 lbs power clean in college...Catapano as evidenced in the video with ability to pull a 750 lbs or maybe 800 lbs deadlift as a rookie...CRAZY strength. And besides that they all have freak speed and athleticism for their size.

I can't wait to see what our defense does to the cowboys for sure.

SeeingRed 09-14-2013 04:44 PM

Also..since we are on the topics of all the freaks in a Chiefs uniform its worth mentioning that we also have a 225 lbs running back who runs a 4.3 40 and did 31 reps on the bench. I know we are talking defense here but those are such freaky stats i figured why not give Davis an honorable mention lol =) If he can hold onto the football then between him and Charles we can keep Peyton cold on the sideline. History shows he doesn't do well when that happens ;-)

Picked up the Chiefs D cuz they're gonna make Romo throw 100000 interceptions... NOT A ****ING EXAGGERATION!!!

Bewbies 09-14-2013 05:04 PM

Everyone in the nfl is a freak.

Even the pussies nobody calls football players are freaks...

Who the **** can kick a ball 50 yards high and 50 yards long and get the ball to land in a 5'x5' box? Every time.

This is about the biggest freak, not all of them...

crossbow 09-14-2013 05:11 PM

Geesus - that video is insane.

To have that much strength is just scary. But to match it with "off the charts" agility for a man that size is just mind bending. This defense is a gathering force and is going to be a big problem for other teams. I really can't wait to see how good they get by mid season. They have a nice blend of veterans and young studs.

 tryin to support my team dammit. The article on the other thread of Houston doing a power clean with 420 lbs got me thinking just how freaky some of the athletes we have are. No 225 lbs + running back has EVER posted those kind of numbers (maybe Hershall and Bo Jackson back in the day but thats it) i just find it impressive that we have all these young guys on one team. Could be a great nucleus for the future. Alot of crazy physical freaks age 25 and younger. Hopefully its a sign of good things to come and translates to the field. I remember watching Davis play a college game on tv a couple years ago and thinking "Whoa, who the hell is this guy??" He has some serious talent. He could be an AWESOME compliment to Charles if he stays healthy. I think this team can be WAY better than many realize. Starts with the cowboys next week...lets see

Poe. I love what Catapano has done so far, though. Coming from the Ivy League, he's a guy you want to root for.

Hali isn't a physical freak.

He's really kind of average in the scheme of things when compared to NFL players.
He's a guy that has achieved through sheer hard work, determination and desire.

In some way, that's more impressive than guys that are physical freaks, and certainly worthy of respect.
