Going to Dungver. Where to stay?
Finally decided on our annual pilgrimage to go watch our team and just booked the trip go watch the 9-0 showdown in Denver next month. Got game tix and airfare. Having never been there, where's the best area to stay? Needs to be close to bars/restaurants as I plan on much celebrating to be had. Don't mind taking a cab to the game, but need to be able to walk (or stagger) to drinking establishments.
Going with bro-in-law, sis, and the wife so recommendations on getlemen's clubs, while appreciated, probably won't be necessary. Appreciate your tips and look forward to lifting a cold one with anyone else planning on being there to watch the forehead get crushed... Go Chiefs!!! |
Downtown. No where else but downtown. Near the 16th Street Mall.

I don't know, but please piss on that city at some juncture.

The Curtis is cool in an eclectic/hipsterish sort of way. The Marriott is pretty okay, but the rooms are small. Sheraton is right on 16th street.
Really I would just pick the best rate that's not a slum. |

Thanks for the recommendation. That looks like the area to be, anyway... |
The last time I drove through Denver, we were on our way to Grand Junction to visit relatives and had to stop for the night. I was tired, but I kept going until we got past the city limits into Golden. I told my wife I would not spend the night in Denver, because if I happened to die in my sleep there my soul would not be able to ascend to heaven.
