Big 12....

:spank: by the SEC last year and :spank: by the PAC 10 this year!!!

Seems like the only competition OU has is Texas and OSU...aTm and Texas Tech are mediocre. And yet here they are in national title game getting :spank: again :shake:

Texas Tech drilled the only team that gave USC a game, California.

How did the Hogs do this year?

If the SEC wasn't so shitty, Auburn would have been in the National title game.

Precisely.

It had nothing to do with the SEC... the SEC is still a good conference. I think Auburn's issue was opening the season against Louisiana Monroe, then hosting the Citadel in week 4, then playing Louisiana Tech in week 6.

Those 3 games did nothing to help them, outside of easy wins.

Auburn was not in the National Title game because they started out the preseason rankings somewhere around the 18 spot. Had they started inthe top 5 they more than likely would have been in the title game.

The SEC is still a good conference, but it wasn't good enough to elevate Auburn in the BCS standings.

Also, you are right on about ULM and the Citadel. Louisana Tech isn't too bad, but ULM and Citadel won't raise your SOS.

Exactly, I think the SEC was about as good as it was a year ago... still had a number of teams go to bowls. But, those 3 games were key to voters looking at Auburn and wondering "how good are they, really?"
