I got into an argument with an Austrailian because he thinks the "World Series" should be renamed, because it doesn't include the rest of the world...

I agree with the criminal reject. Same with calling the winner of the Superbowl "World Champions." It's simply inaccurate.

Literally it's not correct. However if you believe that the best players in the world play MLB then it makes sense. Same with champions of American football being perceived as "World Champions."
