Computer LCD Setup?

Ok, I currently have a single 27" 1920x1080 LCD.

I'm looking to upgrade that but I'm having a bit of trouble deciding which configuration to move too.

Use will be all office productivity - with a good sized portion of code creation.

There are two machines I deal with. Both are twin Xeon's with Nvidia GPU's. One runs Ubuntu 16.04LTS (Bind, Nextcloud, LAMP, etc) and the other runs Windows 10 Enterprise. The wintel box is the Hyper-V host for multiple workstation instances that are devoted to particular functions (Visual Studio, SQL, etc).

Currently I switch between the two with a HDMI KVM (rated to 2560x1440).

I have 2 different options I'm considering.

A single 34" 2560x1440 IPS display. In this configuration I'm gaining a bit more resolution and overall size. My work processes between the two machines will not change from what I experience now, with the exception of space. The 34" does support PBP, so that is something to keep in mind.

A pair of 24" 2560x1440 IPS displays. In this configuration one of the displays would be on the KVM and the other display would be dedicated to the wintel box (no issues driving two displays at 1440p). This would obviously be different from my current experience.

I'm NOT interested in 4K displays at this point simply because neither OS I use scales well to that resolution.

Thoughts?

I have 2 22" at the office and 1 36" at the house.

For productivity I like the 2-22" better. If the 36 could get better resolution, it might be a better deal, but it would have to get a LOT better resolution.
