Noob Question: What happened to the profile messages on people's profile pages?
 

I had received many loving, soothing messages from Dane , R8ERS, and may others over the last few years, as well as shared my own musings and thoughtful well wishes to my many admired colleagues of CP.....What happened to these inspirational messages and the ability to create/receive them.....

Sorry since I'm sure this must be a Q but I mustve missed the official thread....

People were getting stalked by other members

blocking them didnt prevent the stalking??

Are the messages preserved for historical purposes to re-emerge at a later date when the system can be safeguarded??

Personally, I had to setup my PM's so that only those on my Friend's List are allowed to contact me. I got tired of anonymous buttholes sending me PM's constantly.

Who cares? I probably deleted 100 pages of "notes" from people over the years. Why would anyone want to re-read them?

Because some things were funny as hell that's why.

Well, for one, I do.....I suppose we will see in this thread if others do....You probably had more messages to me than any other single user so apparently you used/enjoyed the system...

I went back and looked at them from time to time, and had a few laughs...

I know there are a few others who got lolz from it...

I know we have had our disagreements, but you can be funny as hell sometimes

edit: when i joined in draft of '10 times, youre one of the main reasons I stayed / discovered how awesome this place is after leaving another un-named shit hole full of boring ass lickers

so is the data gone or is it just not displayed any longer??
