Thanks!

Hey guys, just popping in to say I'm glad the Chiefs drafted Aaron Murray. If not, the Bengals might have lucked into a good QB in the 5th, instead they got stuck with a crappier, douchier Andy Dalton in AJ McCarron! I think Murray has a great skillset to succeed in a West-Coast principles-based offense.

Anyway, good luck this season. I liked your draft with the exception of Thomas, but I'm sure there's a scheme plan Reid has for him.

Thanks man.

I've seen people knock the DAT pick, and I just don't get it.

What is not to like? His size? Is that the only knock on him?

If so, there's plenty of evidence to refute that, and DAT has a better resume than many.

Actually....Dalton = Murray.

Andy Dalton reminds me more of a poor man's Brees.

How poor, exactly, is to be seen.

CleveSteve 05-20-2014 09:02 AM

Direckshun, do you mean Murray reminds you of a poor man's Brees? Because that's who he reminds me of on his good days. His game vs. LSU this past season was incredible. I think Dalton is who he is at this point.

That's just who Rob Rang compares him to. And honestly whoever it was that was panning Murray's athleticism, I'm not sure what you were watching. The guy can move and he's got a good quick delivery. Really the only limiting thing for him is arm strength. It's above adequate but probably a little below average. His ball placement is good, his reads and decision making are usually very good. I like him.

Fair enough.

I think, on his good days, he makes excellent decisions, throws very accurately, and takes the most aggressive shot that defenses will allow him.

Combine that with his moderate mobility and his size, and my belief is you've got a poor man's Drew Brees.

This might blow your mind....

But get this, he is employed by the Kansas City Chiefs. They are a professional football team located in Kansas City, Missouri.

Aaron Murray would disagree with your statement.
