KC Quarterbacks for 2013
This season is in the tank and as such I think we need to look at the future starting now. I don't see any way for Cassel or Quinn to be back in 2013. Time to throw Stanzi out there and lets see what happens. So many times we have seen QB prospects who are rated low in practice develop into an NFL Quarterback. I also have a good feeling about Alex Tanney who is on injured reserve. After watching the you tube video of him I am convinced he has the physical skills to be an NFL Quarterback. That being said, we could be in decent shape without Cassel or Quinn. Again, put Stanzi in and if he tanks then at least you know to drop or trade him. You can also start scraping the barrel for a QB this year.
I'd really like to see Tanney in action. If the brains are there to match the physical skill the Chiefs may have something. |
I'm so sorry for what's about to ensue.

LMAO Seriously judging Tanny on a trick shot home video to tell he is NFL ready LMFAO.
What that trick shot video doesn't show is just how many attempts it took for each throw to be successful for the clip. I bet a number of guys can go out and do a bunch of that stuff and make themselves look good at it. Sure it looked impressive good for him to get some notoriety out of it. What I think would have been impressive is if he stood in front of the pickup truck speeding toward him and he had to throw the ball over it and to a target and then get out of the way before it smacks into him leaving him harmed or dead. Then maybe he would have what it takes for the NFL. What I know about Tanny is that he played for a small division school with less competition to deal with. So imo he is far from the level it takes to be a pro, not that he can't make it but I'm not putting any money down on him. It's like Uncle Rico can throw the pigskin over them there mountains. He could have gone pro but missed his opportunity. |
He is under contract, we all must come to the reality its two more seasons of Matthew Gus Brennan cAssHole. Draft a QBOTF in the 3rd/4th round and have cAssHole groom him to be the starter in 2015. 2013 rookie understudy, 2014 trasition year, have the n00b QB start the last 4-6 games in 2014 then let the n00b take the reins in 2015.

Tanney played in 47 games completing 1,339 passes out of 1,622 attempts for an incredible 82.6% completion rate. He set a NCAA Divsion III record with 14,249 passing yards and a NCAA record of 157 TD passes, with only 30 picks. This guy is WAY more than just a trick shot video star! |
