I think it looks like it'll be pretty good. It opens Friday (8/25). I may check it out.

Yeah it doesn't look bad at all. For some reason I tend to like the typical Disney underdog sports flicks. Maybe its because I like golf and some of the history, but The Greatest Game Ever Played was pretty damn enjoyable.

I just noticed the horrific play on words in the movie title.

Last year a reporter asked Vermeil what he thought of Kinnear after visiting with him, and Dick basically said "Eh..."

I hadn't noticed it till you pointed it out. Brutal.

I don't get it.

Invincible has "vince'' in it...but I still don't get it.

I'm proabably gonna seem really dumb here, but it's not the first time. What on earth are you guys talking about? The Vince in Invincible?

Could be unintentional but it seems exactly like something some marketing guy would come up with.

So some people shrink themselves down and go In Vince Ible's body to defuse a bomb or what?

It's definately intentional.

I doubt this movie is going to be any good, and frankly the previews don't make me very optimistic about Kinnear as Dick Vermeil either. His "Go to work" sounds like he's reminding people it's time to go to work. He's not using like a rallying cry, which leads me to believe that somebody dropped the ball with that quote. Almost like somebody told the writer and director that Dick says this all the time, but they never bothered to watch and tape of him saying it and pumping his fist, and rallying the troops.

Offense?... GO TO WORK!
Defense?... GO TO WORK!
Special Teams?... GO TO WORK!
Coaches?... GO TO WORK!

Greg Kinnear?... go to work guys.

It was the trailer. Lines are often changed before the final cut.

I can just see it now...Greg Kinnear going on and on about how amazing the Broncos are and how his team could have a 1% chance of beating them if they play the best football of their lives in preparation for his role.

If there isn't a "pooped in his hat" in this movie, I will DEMAND a refund.

Okay, I probably won't see this for a few years, but still.
