Wiggins & Love traded in 3 team deal...

We all just saw on the banner... will update

Wait this happened way earlier today. LOL. They made it seem like breaking news.

Sorry if Q. lol

The Kevin Love deal is finally done. The Minnesota Timberwolves have sent the superstar power forward to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for a package headlined by 2014 No. 1 overall draft pick Andrew Wiggins. It's a three-way trade involving the Philadelphia 76ers.

Cleveland receives: Love

Minnesota receives: Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, Thaddeus Young

Philadelphia receives: Miami's 2015 first-round pick, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Alexey Shved

The Minnesota Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers have yet to send out press releases, but it looks like the worst-kept secret in the NBA is about to be official. The Timberwolves took out an ad in the St. Paul Pioneer Press featuring the new additions to the team: Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and Thaddeus Young.

Of course, Kevin Love is going to Cleveland and the Philadelphia 76ers are set to receive the Heat's 2015 first-round draft pick, Alexey Shved and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute in return for Young.

The league probably won't love the fact that this leaked early, but the trade can be completed anytime as of Saturday.

Yeah, because Horace Grant, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman weren't great players. Turd.

Ho Grant was ok, but people digging into to defend Lebron needing dream teams have kind of exaggerated what he actually was.

Ho Grant was damn good and Scottie Pippen was better than any player that has played with LeBron.

It would be fun to see more of these weird 3 way trades in football.

except Wade, Bosh and Allen are all HOF potential. Wade being one of the best shot blocking SG the league has ever seen. Not to mention Lebron choked way to many times in the finals in crucial moments only to be bailed.. and the dallas series speaks for itself really. He's no where close to MJ.. he's still battling Bird for all time status.

Bosh and Allen are done. Pippen, Horace Grant and Rodman were all in their prime. My point has never been that LBJ is as good as MJ, my point is that MJ didn't play with a bunch of garbage.

Braincase 08-23-2014 09:37 PM

I might give lebron's heat role players over MJs. But i do see your point.

Hey, no one can win a ship by themselves... all the great ones need help, Mj, kobe, lebron, shaq, duncan, etc

MJ made Bill Wennington and Luc Longly look like NBA players.

Agreed, the year MJ played baseball the Bulls went 55-27, Pippen was all-star game MVP, and they won a playoff series.

Lebron James left and the Cavs had the number 1 pick 3 of 4 years. Obviously, they weren't literally the worst those years but you have to be bad enough to have a shot at winning the lotto. That's in a very down eastern conference too..

Back on Topic.. I think Minnesota did very well for itself considering they had no other viable trade options. It wouldn't be fun to be a Philly fan right now but they pick up another future 1st rounder

Or Kobe.......Kobe won with ONE other all star in Shaq and ONE other all star in Gasol, who never became one nor even won a playoff game until he played with Kobe and won't do shit in Chicago either.....

Gasoft and Dwight Coward got swept in the first round after Kobe blew out his Achilles

Save the excuses LeBron jockers, last I checked, 5 rings is greater than 2 and his skills will never measure up to Kobe. All he has on Kobe is size and right now, age and health....

MJ never won w/o Pippen, who happens to be one of the greatest players of all time.

And just so the argument is settled, Kobe is the best player since MJ. And its not even close. I could give a shit about James. James is dominant because of his power and size.

He's certain the "closest" player we've seen talent wise since MJ, on the court and it's not even up for discussion.

I think the argument is MJ did not recruit allstars to win. Pippen was drafted and traded. He was not a set allstar. Grant was drafted.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute? Sounds like one of those kids you adopt for 2 dollars a day on those world hunger commercials.

wow

Kevin Love has not agree to a new deal or to use the player option for another year.

trade could be for just 1 year of Love

Simplicity 08-24-2014 10:42 AM

At the beginning of this deal in progress... I really wanted us to keep Wiggins and not trade for Love... I wanted to see Kyrie, Wiggins and LeBron. I think that coulda been more enjoyable to watch. But now looking at it.... Love, LeBron, and Kyrie is just.... Awesome. Bout time to finally watch my Cavs with a thought of a playoff run.

BWillie 08-24-2014 10:51 AM

This might be the best trade in history for rebuilding your squad. Wiggins, Bennett, annnnd 1st rd pick unreal haul for twolves
