The SEC will continue to dominate football until there is some kind of seismic shift either in the structure of college football or in society itself.

Ohio State will be there in a few years, but other than that the Big 10 is very, very meh.

I agree that the SEC has built-in advantages, but if you believe that it will be like this until the end of days just look back at history. Things change.

You're focused on the top of the conference.

The bottom third of the SEC is better than the bottom TWO THIRDS of the B1G.

Georgia's D isn't that good tbh. But in half an hour, they are replaying the ND/Purdue game if you want to see it. And also right now they are airing the ND/Stan game. Talk about an overrated program getting two games replayed in the freaking South. This is why I hate ND.

You know how they measure first downs? Well they measured Michigan's spot and there was about 3 chain links short and the ref sits there and calls it a first down, then the entire SC bench including Spurrier go up to the chain and point at it, the ref looks further at the chain, shakes his head and again signals first down. SC challenges the spot and loses which is why they had only 2 TO at the end of the game. It was the most incorrect call in any football game ever played at the college and NFL level.

No. SC scored on a blown coverage with 11 seconds left. All Michigan had to do was get 1 stop.

Yeah but the cheating was blatant. This questions the integrity of the game. This wasn't one of those judgement calls. You're completely missing the point.

Nah, I got your point. Completely agree, it was one of the worst calls of all time. Up there with the heads/tails Steelers game. Just next play, Clowney erased it, and the Michigan back.

LiveSteam 01-01-2013 05:00 PM

Man it must have been bad. Wish I would have seen it. I watched the refs give Charlie Ward & Bowden a crystal ball with phantom 1st downs, & calls that were from left field. That hole reffing crew had money on FLA-ST.
JFC the media cried so hard for Charlie Ward that year They screwed over a undefeated WV team. Notre dame got ****ed to. ND had more right to play in that that game than Fla-st. But Burger King & the media cried,& LOUD!

Cheating refs here & there is all part of the game IMO. hard to prove but you will never convince me it doesn't happen

It was clearly short of the mark when they measured. Ref looked at it twice. Then they went to the replay booth and didnt overturn it. Which not sure if they could overturn it being the spot? Or the fact they measured it and it was short.

It was crazy. The camera angle made it a little misleading but it was definitely short. I though Spurrier was going to have a heart attack.
