New HD Channels on DirecTV

I'll be damned, they actually started rolling them out. Not everything, but quite a few, including A&E, CNN, History Channel, NFL Network, TBS, TNT and several additioanl pay movie channels.

I hope they add Scifi to the list by November for HD Galactica. :thumb:

I was on a satelitte message board the other day and a few people were complaining about audio dropping out and picture quality.

Thats awesume though. Its about damn time. I dont think they are going to make that "100 HD channels" promise in 2007 though.

I just noticed it right before I posted. I haven't been surfing around much lately, so I really have no idea how long the new channels have been HD functional. I also don't have the world's greatest or biggest TV, so I probably won't pick up on flaws that people with newer/bigger/better TVs might.

And I also agree, this is long overdue. But, better late than never.

oooh.. sweet! Too bad I don't have one of DirecTv's shitty DVRs. I have a DirecTv HD Tivo, so I still have my fingers crossed that we may see a new MPEG 4 Tivo DVR sson.

Thats funny! I noticed that myself when I came home from work today and was flipping through the channels. When I got the new 5 LNC dish and the HD box the installer said they would be getting more HD channels soon! SWEET! :thumb:

I have two Channel 212s. The first is "NFLHD" and the second is "NFL".

DaFace 09-26-2007 07:33 PM

You all suck. Comcast's HD selection is pretty lacking right now compared to Dish and DTV.

YEP. Got it. Thanks. Might as well watch the "N" not like the Braves or Cards are going to see post season. heh

You can say that again. The Cards crumpled like an empty Bud Light can. Oh well. At least they won it all before they shat themselves.
