How could we possibly expect Daboll to succeed with shit at the QB position and Pioli micromanaging? /Haley fans

KCrockaholic 01-07-2013 11:28 AM

I'm looking forward to Daboll and even Zorn getting fired.

Agreed having Cassel forced on him for half a season is a bit of an excuse for his early failure but after that it was on him.

That's just silly, Mr. DeezNutz.

Your attempts to generalize in a more or less general way are unseemly.

I don't know what Zorn did for a living, but I initially thought he would be a good addition to the "staff" of morons. Heck, in due time he could have made Head Moron.

Just a bit of harmless shit whipping. There is certainly not a one-to-one correlation between Haley and Daboll, though it's fair to say that Pioli's incompetence negatively affected everyone in the organization.

I wonder if Nick Sirianni is still the "boy wonder" we kept reading about a couple of years ago. I'm still somewhat intrigued about him and wouldn't mind if he's kept. Maybe under a true offensive minded coach he will finally realize his alleged upside.

Can't wait for the Game of Thrones parody where Gunther Cunningham orders Samie Parker to cut off Daboll's head, for some reason.

I hope not, David Price (well his staff member David Glover really) is one of the finest trainers in the NFL. He needs to stay.

Gibbs coached in NO, so not necessarily telling that were staying in 34

Gibbs has both 4-3 and 3-4 experience in his past.

Mr. Flopnuts 01-08-2013 03:02 PM

I heard Emmitt Thomas was retained as well. I don't get the hate on Zorn. He had dogshit at the position. Flacco has regressed since he left. But whatever. A full house cleaning was in order.

Mother****erJones 01-08-2013 03:03 PM

Zorn isnt bad. Ya gota have good players. If you got dogshit then you "suck" as a coach

Wonder if the other one is Bicknell Jr for OL, since word is Castillo isn't coming here. Of course, he could have someone else in mind...

Lovie...niiiiice...

CaliforniaChief 01-08-2013 03:55 PM

I want a DC who is either young enough to be a few years away from an HC opportunity, or a guy that knows his ceiling is as a coordinator so we can actually get some continuity and a system in place.

While I don't think any of the individuals we've had as coordinators have been that good, the constant change has made it that much more difficult.

If Lovie knows he's not an HC and would like to be a DC for awhile, let's do it. Otherwise, someone like Kevin Greene would be better.

Realistically what you're looking for is DC that can bring in good position coaches. That when he leaves....you can hire from within and still keep your continuity.

That would be IDEAL but....never happens in KC....of course it has been so long since we had good coaches....I will just stay possitive for now

Our defense wasn't all that bad under Herm. Showed flashes just like Crennels, just didn't have the offensive help.

Crush 01-08-2013 09:41 PM

"I inherited a team that was 31st in the league in defense and made them better," Ryan told ESPNDallas.com's Tim MacMahon. "I (expletive) made them a hell of a lot better. I'll be out of work for like five minutes."

It's been five minutes. Like someone earlier said, this guy is a fatter version of Gunther Cunningham with a wig.

The only way that works is if you have big strong, athletic, quick interior linemen, and a MLB that has the size to shed blocks in the box, and the speed to get into the deep middle in pass coverage.

And safeties who are allowed to hit without getting penalized. And corners who can press coverage and not get tagged for holding/PI. Read an article that Ronde Barber himself said that's a big reason why even he doesn't like the defense right now.

I don't care if we keep him. But I don't think this year is by any means any good measure of what he's capable of.

I like coaches who get high praise for their work in a Quality Control role. But at his age, he needs to be tutored by a coach who knows what the **** he's doing. Romeo and Daboll are not those guys. Wish him well in the next role and am curious to see how he develops.

CaliforniaChief 01-09-2013 01:04 AM

I'm surprised they kept any of them, to be honest. Although I'm glad Emmitt's one of them. He's a good coach, IMO.
