Chiefs don't impress FA's...?

So I'm listening to the radio on the way home and some guy calls in and said the Chiefs don't do things like send a jet to pick up a potential FA and such. I thought well, that's a possibilty then I hear Carr tweeted that what impressed him about Dallas was the sent a jet to get him with a big fat Dallas Cowboys star on the plane.

Makes me really wonder what kind of red carpet we do or don't roll out for these people?

I kinda wonder. I mean Winston is in town today. Did we even flip for the price of a 1st class ticket? I'd hope we at least sent a car to pick him up and I am sure we did that much....or I'd like to be.

I guess they're not "Leaders in the clubhouse" for FAs
What ever the **** that means

It's Polio's way of finding out whether you are committed to winning or not.

I don't know about us, but it sounds like Carr is easily impressed. It's a plane with some blue paint in the shape of a star on it.

I am sure he was more impressed with a contract that said 5 yr, 50.1M

We show them our Super Bowl IV trophy.

We leave it on for Peyton Hillis, Mike Brown, Zach Thomas, Bobby Engram etc.

I don't know, all I can say is what he tweeted. But things like that do matter and shows the class of the organization. I don't think it would kill Clarkie Boy to send his jet to pick up someone we really are interested in. It shows you are interested. And ok, say you flip for a 1st class ticket. What's the other team doing? How bad do you want to sign someone like Winston? Is he worth a plane ticket or a ride in your personal jet?

Recall that Carr was a fifth-round pick, so he probably didn't get a whole lot of attention lavished on him when he was drafted, or as he was working his way up the ladder with the Chiefs. And since he didn't play at a big school, he probably didn't get wined and dined as a high school kid, either. This is probably the first time he's ever been given the red carpet treatment, so I can see how it would be quite flattering.

For guys like Manning who was the #1 pick in the draft, it's probably not a big deal. For guys like Carr, it is.

We simply need to focus on FA players who appreciate the aesthetics of clean stairwells...
