Unwritten rule on drafting a QB early in KC?
 

So now the NFLphilosphy guy is talking about bringing in Carson Palmer to KC if the Raiders cut him. Says there is no QB ready to start day 1 in this draft.


So I ask, is there some rule that I don't know about that the Chiefs can't draft a QB early in the draft?

There kinda was but it died like 5 years ago.

I just don't understand this. The media is actually going out of it's way to find retreads to come to KC.

Not at all. I just think he's saying that he doesn't see a guy in the draft that is going to help KC win from day 1. I don't necessarily agree with that, but I think there's some truth to thinking that Palmer could succeed under Reid.

I don't like to think that's true though, b/c I would rather hope there is a stud QB we can grab that will be with us for the next 10 years.
