Impressive? In a sense.

Yes, he struck out all those batters in under five innings, but he also through nearly 120 pitches, put a lot of unnecessary wear and tear on his arm, and pretty much screwed their bullpen due to his high pitch count and having to be pulled early.

Sometimes it's better to pitch to contact, spot your pitches, and let your defense play behind you. If you happen to rack up some K's along the way, great!

There's a reason the best pitchers in baseball don't typically strike out 15-20 a game . . . . they know how to pitch.
