Draft a QB this year. New QB and Bray fight it out for #2 next season with the winner the heir apparent for 2015. Let Alex play his last year of his contract and either leave as a FA or sign for less and expect to be a very good backup for the last few years he has in the league.

Long term? I'd give him another two years tops. As long as Bray is being groomed and Smithy is moving the offense. That being said GIVE THE GUY SOME RECEIVERS.

I have seen him improve every week and if that continues, we just may have something here. No way should anyone that has any knowledge of the Kansas City Chiefs history be cool with Alex getting an extension at this point, though.
