GoDaddy's entire network is down!

Not sure if this impacts any of you, but we have our domains with GoDaddy, and their entire system of DNS servers seems to be unresponsive.

A quick Google search seems to indicate it may be a DoS attack by Anonymous, so that's fun.

Hopefully they fix it soon - our entire system (web site, email, everything) is down right now.

I'd appreciate hearing more news as you get confirmation if it is Anon or not. No business reason but a personal affiliation.

My website is down as well. GoDaddy host.

Great.

Update from my link:

Update 2: Anonymous is claiming responsibility. A member of Anonymous known as AnonymousOwn3r is claiming responsibility, and makes it clear this is not an Anonymous collective action.

AnonymousOwn3r’s bio reads “Security leader of #Anonymous (~Official member~).” The individual claims to be from Brazil.

Go Daddy Corp. reports that many of its customers' websites and e-mail services hosted by the company are offline.

The outage, which one customer said had been going on for hours, appears to have affected millions of websites, according to reports from Twitter, Internet message boards and blogs.

Go Daddy officials issued the following statement Monday morning on the company's official Twitter feed:

"Status Alert: Hey, all. We're aware of the trouble people are having with our site. We're working on it."

Shortly before noon, they added: "So many messages, can't get to you all... Sorry to hear all your frustration. We're working feverishly to resolve as soon as possible."

Around 1 p.m. Monday Go Daddy tweeted, "Update: Still working on it, but we're making progress. Some service has already been restored. Stick with us."

Elizabeth Driscoll, spokeswoman for the Scottsdale-based company, said Go Daddy was "experiencing some problems that have affected some of our customers" but said company officials did not yet know the extent or cause of the problem.

Driscoll said the outage began at around 10 a.m. Monday.

A person claiming to be a member of the hacker group Anonymous has claimed responsibility for taking down Go Daddy's network, but Driscoll said the claim should not be taken seriously without more information.

"I think it would be irresponsible to give that any credence right now," she said.

Edward Whittaker, a Go Daddy customer in Nevada, said he has several websites hosted by the firm, and they all were still down as of noon. He said the company's phone and e-mail systems also appeared to have been knocked out.

Go Daddy hosts more than 50 million websites.

Whittaker said the widespread outage appears to be unprecedented.

"I've never seen anything of this magnitude," he said.

She may have to to that route soon. How long do they keep paying race car drivers that crash every single time they race?

Just checked my sister's business's site that is on Go Daddy and it is down. I do work on it for her so I am surprised she hasn't called me yet to find out what is going on. Thanks for the heads up DeFace!

Our site just came back up. No guarantees it'll STAY up of course, but we're back in business for now.

We never forget. We never forgive. Unless a new Call of Duty online fest is starting.
