the book is one of my all-time favorites, read it three times and listened to the audiobook twice.

Would be a fantastic movie to add to the DVD collection in Blu-ray.
A movie with this kind of cinematography must be seen in HDMI to fully appreciate.

Had no intention of watching this movie until I saw this thread. Watched it. Loved it. Wife loved it. Kids loved it. Great, great movie.

If you've never watched the movie or read the book, how would you know?

This movie stirred something up in me when I watched it back in March or April on DVD. In addition to storytelling and visual effects at its finest, I thought the acting was well executed. I was captivated the whole time. What really left an impression on me personally was near the end when...

Spoiler!

I loved the visuals. I hated the pacing of it. If you skip right to them selling the zoo, you really dont miss much and just trimmed 20 mins of film.

Yes, I'm bumping a very old thread. I never got around to seeing this when it was in theaters. My girlfriend kept pestering me to see it. Not for any deep reason. She loved the tiger. So I watched it with her. I was very impressed. I loved this movie, it was great. I bought a copy for my sister because I knew she'd like it as well. Funny thing. My g/f watches it repeatedly at night because it calms her to sleep (I know, she's crazy, you have to be to be with me), my sister bawls her eyes out every time she watches it (she can't stop watching it) and it made me intensely thoughtful. I watched it with my kids at home and they were completely blown away.
