Free Agent Predictor

Thought we could get a running thread going. It's been a little fire and brimstone around here so maybe this can be more lighthearted.

Who are your predictions as to who the Chiefs bring in as free agents? Give your top 3.

Mine are: Sean Smith CB, Brad Jones ILB, Martellus Bennett TE.

KurtCobain 03-09-2013 12:01 AM

I bet Vikings sign Glenn Dorsey.

beach tribe 03-09-2013 12:05 AM

Would love to have Bennett. Haven't been in the loop. Has Goldson signed anywhere?
Really hope we look at him.

Hammock Parties 03-09-2013 12:06 AM

Hugh Douglas, Ty Law and Kendrell Bell please.

MoreLemonPledge 03-09-2013 12:08 AM

Sean Smiff, Greg Jennings, Chris Canty.

The ship.

To it.

Hammock Parties 03-09-2013 12:09 AM

I have pretty much grown to hate ALL free agents at this point because I can't remember a single one who was that good for the Chiefs since the Vermeil era.

They're all brokedicks and malcontents who get paid too much.

B14ckmon 03-09-2013 12:10 AM

If any of you were hoping to keep your football dreams alive, the Jaguars are cutting everyone, so we will likely go to the streets to fill the roster.

Well, I take back putting you on ignore, couldn't pull the trigger.

But this i actually agree with.

Although I think it has more to do with who was signing said free agents.

Goldson has been in contact with the Bengals.

You're ****ing awful. Why are you still here.

Everyone has known for a week the Chiefs were going for Smith.

I knew Smith was going to be here too. Everyone just speculated it however no one reported it. I just gave you official conformation and not speculation.

RealSNR 03-09-2013 12:22 AM

Sean Smith is too easy. I'm not going to include him.

I'll say:

Cullen Jenkins, Andy LeVitre, Gosdar Cherlius

Would take it. Although, I think they only upgrade one spot on the OL in FA.

I think they bring in some type of offensive weapon.

This. I'd FTFY but I also have no clue how to spell his ****ing name. But he's actually a pretty decent RT, at least according to PFF.

Why would you sign one when you're drafting Luke Joeckel?

He really improved this year.

Sucked ass the year before IIRC

spanky 52 03-09-2013 05:36 AM

As much as I'd like to see Levitre, he's going to want top G money and that isn't happening here with our salary cap. ILB Jones of GB, DL DeVito of NYJ make sense due to the connections with coaching and FO staff.

Easy 6 03-09-2013 10:16 AM

Dunta Robinson... BANK ON IT.

Easy 6 03-09-2013 10:22 AM

I would LOVE to get Wallace across from Bowe, we sorely need speed.

But my gut says that if they take a FA receiver, they'll go with someone cheaper and more familiar... Jennings.

O.city 03-09-2013 10:24 AM

Denario Alexander?

Pasta Little Brioni 03-09-2013 10:24 AM

Please, please, please a RT. **** JEKYLL!!!

Hootie 03-09-2013 10:31 AM

I like Bennett's skill set and all, he's good...but when I watch him...he's just soft. He gets hurt a lot.

Zac Thomas lol

hoping we can get these guys in.

Delanie Walker,Paul Kruger,

Pasta Little Brioni 03-09-2013 10:46 AM

Team isn't throwing big money at a FA Wideout this offseason. No way they sign Wallace or Jennings.

The Poz 03-09-2013 10:59 AM

WR -Brandon Gibson 25 years old
QB - Chase Daniel 26
FB/TE - James Casey 28 - would fit nicely in Reid's offence (I really want this guy)
G/T - Geoff Schwartz 26
DL - Mike DeVito 28
ILB - Brad Jones 26

Who is smiff gonna throw to if not?

Its Bowe, a very sketchy, slow Baldwin and a few warm bodies... i suppose we could draft a guy and pray he makes an instant impact and starts right away, but thats relatively rare.

They're going to have to find atleast one guy there in free agency, imo.

Pasta Little Brioni 03-09-2013 11:12 AM

Baldwin will get another year and Walrus loves him some Dex. It would be depth signing at the position more than anything. Baldwin shits up the joint again and you'll see them make a move next offseason.

Baldwin will be shitting on defenders heads when he's tearing the league up as a TE next year.

Also hearing we will move Alberts to RG

If Reid can turn dex into a quality receiving product, he will have truly earned the title of GENIUS.

I knew you weren't part of the cp hierarchy. Only a top notch poster gets the super duper full on bad ass global wide ignore feature.

Will someone please quote this so that asshole can see it?

So far I'm 3 for 5 as long as Schwartz actually signs (which he is expected to). Still, Brad Jones is out there. If they sign him I'd be happy going 4 for 6.
