Still think you're wrong. Almost positive its base of hand to tip of middle

Damn, I had never measured my hand before. I'm 6-3 and have 10 1/3" hands.

I can spin it, too.

Edit: 8 1/2" for wrist to tip of middle finger.

I'm probably one of the few people on Earth who has measured his hands more than his dick.

When I was younger I used PING's online fitting app all the time.

Calvin Johnson has 9.3" hands.. you can't tell me that's tip of thumb to tip of pinky

Yeah, hand span makes a lot more sense as a functional measurement.

Aside: I have a friend who has some of the largest hands I've ever seen; it's like he has a bunch of bananas attached to his wrist. He's 6'3 but he wears size 9 tennis shoes.

ROFLROFL Try to picture that without laughing.

I've looked and its from base of palm, where it meets the wrist and tip of middle finger. that's why it says hand length

Barkley is the single most undervalued QB in this draft. Such nonsense being thrown around about him being worth only a second-round grade.

Starts, system experience, intangibles, physical skill set...it's all there. Not going to be surprised at all if he's the Chiefs QB this fall.

Me neither.

It's just amazing to me that this time last year, he was being talked about as a top 10 pick in a draft that was much more lush than this one.

His arm strength was plenty fine then and that didn't regress this year.

I like him a great deal and would love for him to be the QB here.

silver5liter 02-22-2013 08:12 PM

Barkleys problem now, dude has t rex arms lol

Hootie 02-22-2013 08:12 PM

looks like if I'm measuring right...my hands are about 8.5"

I'm 6'3" and have always been told my hands are pretty big...how do some of you guys have 10" hands? That doesn't even make sense.

Michael Jordan had 9.75" hands and you guys expect me to believe some of you have 10.5" hands?

What?

They are measuring pinky to thumb, which I don't believe is the correct way.

-King- 02-22-2013 08:14 PM

I just measured:

8.5" from palm to tip of middle finger
9" from thumb to pinky

I'm 5'10

Hootie 02-22-2013 08:15 PM

how do you even measure pinky to thumb?

Except I'm pretty damn sure I'm not. That would be really stupid measurement for anyone to use.

suds79 02-22-2013 08:16 PM

Who cares what is techinically correct.

We just care about how they're doing it at the combine. It's thumb to pinkie.

Hootie 02-22-2013 08:17 PM

so do you spread your hands all the way out and then measure from the end of your thump to the tip of your pinkie?
