Chiefs @Raiders: Game Notes from the Dark Side

* Raiders HC Allen announces this game will be used to "evaluate young talent."

* Raiders commentator George Atkinson announces "This will be an audition game" for backups and rookies.

* Raiders bring cornerback Chimdi Chekwa up from the practice squad to play against Chiefs.

* Raiders announce that OT rookie Tony Bergstrom will play guard vs Kansas City, a position he has never played before.

* Rookie defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi returned to work after missing practice Wednesday, but expects to get "evaluation time" against the Chiefs.

* Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain is back from suspension, but has been relegated to playing running back on the scout team. He will be allowed to play on Special Teams against the Chiefs. When asked about it by the media in the locker room, McClain replied, "I ain't got nothing to say about anything."

* Setback for Seymour: Starting defensive tackle Richard Seymour has missed five straight games with a hamstring injury, and his quest to play Sunday against Kansas City took a hit Thursday during practice. "Well, he had a little bit of a setback today as far as the hamstring is concerned," Raiders coach Dennis Allen said. "We'll evaluate him as we finish out the week, but it kind of grabbed him a little bit, so we'll see."

* Raiders safety Michael Huff will start at cornerback.

* Raiders leading tackler, starting strong safety Tyvon Branch, missed his third straight day of practice with ankle and neck injuries.

* Coach Allen said of QB Terrell Pryor: "The biggest thing is to start getting him into the game a little bit and let him see a little game action. I’m not ready to say that he’d be a starter."

* The Oakland Raiders defense ranks dead last in the NFL in Points Allowed.

* The Oakland Raiders have the draft tiebreaker over the Kansas City Chiefs due to Strength of Schedule

* The Chiefs have won eight of their past nine games at Oakland.

Spread: Chiefs -1

After opening as a pick 'em in most sportsbooks, bettors have backed Quinn and made the Chiefs favorites coming into Sunday's contest.

You still can't out suck us

BossChief 12-15-2012 04:49 PM

Both teams should be in FULL SUCK mode tomorrow in hopes of losing the game.

Hammock Parties 12-15-2012 04:50 PM

And we have Brady Quinn throwing to Dexter McCluster, Jon Baldwin and Jamar Newsome.

**** you.

HolyHat 12-15-2012 04:51 PM

It's amazing how the raiders always find a way to screw us whether we are good or bad.

O.city 12-15-2012 04:52 PM

Have you guys seen who we will be starting at some key spots? There's a slim to no chance of tomorrows game being successful.

KCDC 12-15-2012 04:53 PM

Sadly, Dennis Allen knows he'll be back next year and knows he needs to lose the game and the rest of the season to get Geno.

More Sadly, Crennel knows he won't be back next year and wants to win in the worst way. He does not care about the first pick. He'd prefer to have a meaningless 7th pick if he could get three more wins on his horrible HC record.

great, they're tanking.

Hammock Parties 12-15-2012 04:57 PM

Carson Palmer is worlds better than Brady Quinn, so unless Palmer is benched or purposely throws INTs, the Chiefs will lose.

Don't forget that Jamaal had FOUR YARDS against Oakland last time.

ClevelandBronco 12-15-2012 05:01 PM

The NFL should try to get an injunction against the Chiefs and the Raiders if they're still thinking about playing this game.

cabletech94 12-15-2012 05:03 PM

don't screw this up, chefs!!!

seriously though, which suck-bags should we be "evaluating"?

Oh yeah.... I forgot to add this part...

Coach Allen said of QB Terrell Pryor: "The biggest thing is to start getting him into the game a little bit and let him see a little game action. I’m not ready to say that he’d be a starter."

BossChief 12-15-2012 05:12 PM

This game will be all about which team wants Geno Smith more.

Hammock Parties 12-15-2012 05:13 PM

Yeah, we'll see.

I doubt he plays more than a few snaps.

Unless you're up by 17.

mcaj22 12-15-2012 05:17 PM

Raiders safety Michael Huff will start at cornerback.
