love it when the mom shuts off the lamp on their way to get a Christmas tree, and comes out and says simply
"I don't want to waste electricity"

These. Awesome movie.

Oh, and when Ralphie decodes the secret message in the bathroom, finds out it's a "crummy commercial".........then says "son of a bitch!"

Just finished wrapping presents while watching the movie. I'll watch the end and put them under the tree. Merry Christmas everyone.

As much as it saddens me, to this day I have still yet to see it's a wonderful life.

Loser I know.

Who doesn't like A Christmas Story?

Dirty communists, that's who!

Dunit35 12-25-2010 09:16 AM

This is a great film. How do you measure a great film? By how many times its lines are quoted in real life. There are dozens of quotes from this film that everyone knows, even small snippets. If you're wearing a big puffy winter coat and you stick your arms straight out and loudly whine, "I can't put my arms down!", they know what you're talking about. "Fra-gee-lay", "oh fudge", "you'll shoot your eye out", "I want a Red Ryder BB gun", etc.,. Classic.

I never saw it until recently. It's pretty good. And the chick playing his girlfriend/wife is hot.

Some men are Baptists, others Catholics; my father was an Oldsmobile man.
