if he runs in the 4.6-4.9 range.. sure

I would rather have someone 6'10" and 350lbs.. but thats just me

Because people only look at draft sites that copy each other and as soon as one says "might be a little small to play DE" everyone takes it as the gospel.

I've seen ONE person say they thought Pollack was a little small.

ONE.

When asked to explain, they said they felt it wasn't that he was too small but rather that he doesn't have the frame to get any bigger, while some of the other guys do...

and that one person is me ... im the ONLY person i've seen say it


and i even said that he might be able to play, but that most guys his size either have to be speed guys or play in a 3-4 as the rush backer where they can move them around.

i merely suggest that his size WAS A CONCERN, not that it made him worthless or anything.

In my scouting reports I have him expecting to gain 10 points on his frame. It's sometimes a hit or miss type deal. Take a look at nick barnett for the packers, they were able to put some weight on him, but he is still weak on the run

and nick barnett is a middle linebacker


they are talking about Pollack at DE where "simple bulk" can be an important asset when you line up across from 300+ offensive tackles every play.

He's small compared to the 6'8" 250 lbs. Kiwanuka, who I would rather have over Pollack.

I'd rather pick up a veteran DE.
