Insanity Workout
Has anyone on here ever tried or used the insanity workout dvd's,
I'm not really that out of shape would just like to tone up a little more, my brother just got it so I was just looking for some input before I started it. It's supposedly pretty intense so I hear. |
You will probably need something heavier than dvds to get in good shape.

not exactly the type of input I was lookin for but hey good joke :thumb:

If you do it 6 days a week and religiously stick to their diet plan you will lose lots of weight and tone up your muscles. I also suggest you take daily vitamins/supplements (green coffee bean supplements are good for losing weight). I started last Jan when I was 225 and got down to 195 by March. Then life got in the way and I started working more and didn't have a whole hell lot of time on my hands.....gained it all back LMAO. Gonna have to whip out those dvds again in time for the summer mankini season.

Well I weigh 173lbs and I stand 5'10 so my bmi is legit and I landscape for a living but the problem is it's winter so I basically just sit around on my ass everyday until March, I take a GNC multi vitamin everyday but really don't watch what I eat so like I said I don't really need to lose weight, just want to kinda tone up and keep a handle on my weight during my off time and as far as time to do it goes I have all the time in the world right now so good there

Try to stay away from dairy - only use skim milk if you have to, white breads or anything that isn't 100& whole wheat and really only supposed to have that in small portions. Peanut butter is good but has to be all natural..not Jiffy or the sweet stuff loaded w/ sugar etc. Fruits/veggies nuts/berries and eggs/fish/chicken are your friend. |
Depends on what you want to do. Lost weight or get toned.
Insanity workouts are intense. It's good for toning and losing weight. You may get bored after a little while too. p90x is better for getting bulk, though you may not get in tip top cardio shape. p90x is a happy medium, but still... cardio is too light for my taste. |

I burn the same amount of calories playing table tennis as I do with a full Insanity workout, and table tennis is much more fun.

I am really big into Rush Fit with George Saint Pierre. The whole workout cost like 70 or 80 and you need a pair of dumbells. By far better crossfit than insanity, which makes me feel I am just running in place for a half hour.
