Richard Sherman might be the biggest douche in the NFL

What a childish douche.

Fritz88 01-14-2013 09:50 PM

He's good.

Rain Man 01-14-2013 09:52 PM

Yeah, he's an idiot.

tk13 01-14-2013 09:53 PM

That whole defense yaps a lot... but he's probably the worst.

Joe Seahawk 01-14-2013 09:53 PM

He's like Gary Payton of the NFL. As long as he continues to be a top 3 CB I'm ok with it..

BigCatDaddy 01-14-2013 09:55 PM

He obviously learned nothing from the Trent Williams bitch slap.

a pp roach 01-14-2013 09:55 PM

aturnis 01-14-2013 10:02 PM

At least he brings some swag to the D. Our defense has none...

DonTellMeShowMe 01-14-2013 10:02 PM

He's the kinda of guy where if he's on your team you say "oh he's fiery, damn he's legit" if not you f'in hate him

I hate having to click links.

Psyko Tek 01-14-2013 10:05 PM

if he can back his mouth he's good...

but still a douche nozzle

DonkyPuncher 01-14-2013 10:11 PM

I was thinking the same thing, the second off sides penalty on the field goal confirmed it

-King- 01-14-2013 10:15 PM

Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Chiefnj2 01-14-2013 10:18 PM

I don't see the big deal. He was mic'd up for the Skins game and you could hear him being really cool with Griffin at the end of the game. On his twitter account he apologized to the "12th man" after the teams loss yesterday. When is the last time a Chiefs player apologized to the fans after a loss? 99% of the time he can back up his talk. He's the 2nd best corner behind Revis.

No shit. How about some damn cliff notes.

ThaVirus 01-14-2013 10:23 PM

Yeah, this is a non-issue.

The dude's an elite player that likes to get in people's heads with trash talk. You could see he was a good sport after White's TD (and last week after the Redskins game).

He's not a true scumbag like an Adam Jones so why are you guys bitching?

Chiefnj2 01-14-2013 10:25 PM

The bigger question is why is Asante Samuel talking trash about Sherman after his own defense completely blew the game in the 2nd half? Be grateful your offense bailed your ass out of one of the worst performances in NFL history.

We are lucky that the same person in title is being mentioned, don't worry about in what context. ROFL

This.

Additionally, I lol'd at Russell throwing deep outs/comebacks on Asante during the game. No respect. ROFL

He was saying you are crazy to be throwing against me. He tries to get in the head of his opposition. Nothing malicious. Imagine having a defense with some swagger.

Al Bundy 01-15-2013 07:33 AM

I think they beat him once. He's not a douche. The Falcons are pussies, and so are their apologists.

Here ya go

Richard Sherman taunts Falcons, ends up losing

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman continued his taunting ways on Sunday, but one team finally made him pay.

The Atlanta Falcons escaped with a 30-28 win over Seattle in their divisional-round playoff game after nearly blowing a 20-0 lead. Sherman was taunting the Falcons every time they threw at him early in the game. He would put his hand to his head as if to say “you’re crazy” for trying to throw on me

http://larrybrownsports.com/wp-conte...1/sherman1.gif

Falcons receiver Roddy White burned Sherman late in the second quarter for a 47-yard touchdown and raced out of the end zone to show Sherman what’s up. Sherman seemed to be a good sport and mockingly gave him an applause:

http://larrybrownsports.com/wp-conte...1/applause.gif

Sherman emerged as one of the biggest trash talkers in the league this season. From taunting Tom Brady after the Seahawks beat the Patriots, to bragging about shutting down Calvin Johnson, and getting pushed by Trent Williams last weekend, he has consistently been in headlines. Though we’ll miss his entertainment over the final few weeks of the season, you can’t help but feel like he got served a healthy dose of karma with the Seahawks losing.

Atlanta DB Asante Samuel felt that way. Look at what FOXSports.com NFL writer Alex Marvez reports Samuel said after the game:

#Falcons cb asante samuel just went through locker room yelling that richard sherman and pete carroll could both eat some humble pie.

Mr. Flopnuts 01-15-2013 09:06 AM

I love the guy. He's really good. And look, he gave Roddy props for beating him. He'll take it like a man. Don't like his talk? Shut him up on the field.

Easy 6 01-15-2013 09:10 AM

Yep, he's an arrogant SOB... and we need someone just like him.

blaise 01-15-2013 09:10 AM

I thought it was funny when he did the little clap. If he goes to the Super Bowl and gets on radio row every single show will want him to sit down.

It is fine to trash talk all you want, however when you do it after the game is over you just become an arrogant asshole. Payton did trash talk but it was never as disrespectful as Sherman. Glad the seahawks lost.

Dmello12 01-15-2013 06:48 PM

Kam had over the top coverage on that TD, if he was where he was supposed to be they dont score. He played a great game going up against two of the best receivers in the league, i'd talk a little trash too. Plus it's a playoff game is he supposed to play emotionless? This story is pointless. I'd take him on my D any day.

No one is questioning that. He's obviously a great player. He's just a douche. Are we not allowed to dislike good players anymore? Should we all love Peyton Manning and Tom Brady and LaDainian Tomlinson and Bill Romanowski and Shawne Merriman and Philip Rivers and John Elway now, since they were good at their jobs?

Nice straw man.

kcchiefsus 01-15-2013 09:58 PM

Let's just say I wouldn't mind seeing pull a Stevie Johnson vs. Eric Berry kind of block on Richard Sherman. Yeah, go ahead and give me crap for wishing injury on a player. I don't give a shit.

NJChiefsFan 01-15-2013 10:12 PM

I like a little attitude. One of my favorite things I have seen from a Chiefs player in a long time was when Berry went over to the Ravens before our playoff game when they were acting like clowns and mocking us and just stared at them and said "I see this shit". Now granted, we got beat down but I still like to see that edge. I think it pays if more often then not WHEN its harnessed the right way. Guys like Houston, Flowers, and Berry need to bring that. Especially with our fart DL. Hali and DJ are great, but they don't really bring the wood in terms of attitude.

I think it goes a long way, and it showed in the GB and DEN games two years ago late in the season.

Floridafan 01-15-2013 10:21 PM

I kind of love the way Barry Sanders did it when he was playing. He would make every defensive player on the field look like a Pop Warner player as he juked his way around them and score and then flip the ball to the official. He acted like he had done it before. I know there is a big diff between what he was doing and a DB does but he just did it with class. Loved the guy. What a class act.

Truthfully, ego is like oxygen for positions like CB. If you don't believe to a metaphysical certainty that you are King Shit of Turn Mountain each and every play, there's an edge you lose that is imperative. A team with Mark McMillan in its history should know this.

It can backfire when you fail, but it buoys a precarious boat in the preponderance of plays.
