2015 WR class is pretty good too

WR is clearly our #1 need after the draft, but I feel better about not getting one now that I started to check out next years class.

Amari Cooper, Alabama
Stefon Diggs, Maryland
Dorial Green-Beckham
DeVante Parker, Louisville.
Malcolm Mitchell, Georgia
Ty Montgomery, Stanford
Rashad Greene, FSU
Antwan Goodley, Baylor
Kasen Williams, Washington
Nelson Agholor, USC
Phillip Dorsett, Miami
Jaelen Strong, Arizona State
Tyler Lockett, Kansas State
Davaris Daniels, Notre Dame
Christion Jones, Alabama

Yeah, we should be able to net a good one in the 1st or 2nd round. Some other player might break out too. We'll see.

Diggs is sick.

Cooper, DGB are great although DGB's immaturity issues are troubling.

Agholor has to show progress and Dorsett, while a burner, needs to get stronger.

OldSchool 05-14-2014 09:10 AM

That just means that DGB could be available to us in the 1st. I hope he is, reminds me a lot of Calvin Johnson with his size, speed, and hands. Damn fast for a 6'6" 220 pound WR and is pretty strong on top of that. I hope we draft him if we have a shot. Reid has plenty of experience working with troubled players.

Cooper is going to be next year's Sammy Watkins.

Jaelen Strong out of ASU.

That guy reminds me of Keenan Allen when he was at Cal. Not just because of the number either. Very similar play style and speed. Should be a pretty good possession guy in the NFL.

We won't draft one. It will probably be an OL next year. Already bracing myself for it

The hell we won't. Best bets, IMO.

Dorial Green-Beckham: He's the size-speed-strength pass catching phenom that Dorsey gets hard-ons for. If his off-the field red flags drop him to us, he should be in very strong consideration for our 1st round pick. Dorsey seems to have no problem drafting guys who had character concerns in the past. DGB has top 5 talent, Dorsey will swing for the fences with this kid if he gets the chance to.

Stefon Diggs: Explosive player who fits Reid's Desean Jackson/Jeremy Maclin mold. Why we'll draft him? He broke his leg last season, Dorsey loves him some players who have great physical abilities but were seriously injured at some point in college.

In particular Diggs seems like the guy to watch, would probably go around where we will be picking and is a perfect for Reid's offense.

I think we'll have a bad enough record this year with the schedule that we won't have to worry too much about a lot of guys falling to us.

Mitchell will also be an interesting one to watch returning from his injury. He really stuck out to me watching Murray the past two seasons, and is also a good fit for our offense.

Who would have thought that we'd use our first two picks (1st and 3rd) on two special teams players when everyone who knew anything about the draft considered it to be the deepest and best WR draft in a decade plus.

I'm banking on the fact that we will draft a RB or Safety with our first overall.

Especially now that safeties are no longer considered the ass end of the defense.

PLAYMAKAHS!!!!!!

Chiefnj2 05-14-2014 11:02 AM

Next years first will be an ILB to prepare for DJ's departure. Fisher for Albert, Ford for Hali ... ?? for Derrick O. Johnson. Dorsey likes using those firsts for eventual replacements and not immediate need.

OldSchool 05-14-2014 11:05 AM

If Dwayne Bowe looks lackluster this year as well, it's all but guaranteed that we'll be taking a WR in the first round and possibly later in the draft as well. That's if we don't sign anyone in FA.

So he'll be there at 1.32?
