Did you get to the part where you pay your dollar and pick a team? We're wondering if you completed Part 1 of team initiation (registering on the site), but not Part 2 (payment and team naming). We're trying to figure out if we need better signage.

Did you click the vbulletin registration in your e-mail? It should take you to the vbulletin site and give you instructions on what to do next. (Hint: Go to the "play" button.)

It was a little wonky, but I got through it. I'm still waiting for the "Play" button to replace the "register" button, though. I suspect you're right about the update.

If you close out and then go back to sandboxsimulations.com, it should take you to the classic sandbox user panel rather than the forum. Does that work?

And the user panel will be deactivated while we're waiting on the teams to fill up.

I'm curious because I see your payment in paypal, but I haven't yet gotten an email notification and I don't see you registered as a team yet. We'll give it a bit more time just to see if it's still percolating through the system.

I think I’m in. I never seen the play button either. The link in email kept taking me to vbulliten page. So I closed it then clicked on link in OP. Then clicked something on that page and it took me to team name.

The "play" button is on the upper left side of the forum page.

I think it says 6 or 8 of 24 teams taken. What happens after 24 people? Another league starts?

Yes, and our leauge starts. You'll get some players assigned and the draft (where you can draft players better than Brock Oswieler) will start 24 hours after that.

Hmm, yeah, we need to make that more intuitive. We're a little worried that the two-step process isn't easy to follow, but we kind of need to do it that way.

After you register, you end up on a sandbox-themed page like this. You then go to the upper left to the "Play" button, as shown.

You'll see on the site that the normal price will be $18. We're offering a kindness rate to Chiefsplanet because people helped us a lot with the game testing when it was in development.

Can I change my team name if I already selected it?

I’ve yet to see a page that looks like this. I’m doing this on an iPhone. Is that why?

We know, it's fun to re-name your team every week, but this isn't fantasy football. This is Sandbox football, where the teams are real (kind of) and the sport is serious. Your team and league is in it for the long haul, and if you change your name all the time it really screws with our databases, y'know what I mean?

When a new team is created, you can choose from a list of cities and teams, and that's it. That's the city, that's the team. Unless you're Art Modell, you can't recreate a team's identity.

Any chance you can do a screen shot? What are you seeing?

Apparently so. See if you can find a link that says "full site". Click on that and you will see the play button.

I like my team name but kind of rushed looking through the choices, so was just curious what I missed.

I've got the receipt for Interplanetary Properties LLC, but the sandbox site invites me to register, and the email links take me to the V Bulletin board.

It all showed up for me right after my last post. I think I have it right.

Yeah, I'm showing you in paypal, but still no notification that's supposed to automatically come to me (which is not part of our system, just part of paypal). Did you get to the part about getting your team name?

If not, get out of the site and go to www.sandboxsimulations.com. Then see if you have a tab that says "play" here. If you do, click it and tell us what happens.

Oh, and I just noticed that gmail is stacking up my identical payment messages, so you're clear there.

Yeah, there's definitely a fear of missing out effect there. It was predestined that I would be the Ermines, but if Ermines wasn't such a great name, it would be hard to scroll those lists and make a decision.

I actually took about ten minutes to decide between Ermines, Fighting Ermines, and Flying Ermines.

As a little Sandbox trivia, when the league is full, you'll be assigned to a conference and division based on your latitude and longitude. That way your team will have good regional rivalries and will save travel time on road trips.

Another question, is the $1/$18 fee once a year, or how does that work?

For you pioneers, it'll be a one-time $1 fee, which we're charging just to be sure that the payment system works. For commercial players, it'll be $18 per year.

How do we tell if the system thinks a player is good or not? Is there a rating system like Madden? Or is everyone a clean slate and you just have to know every player in NFL if they are good or not and the only info is their stats?
Like for instance, we could argue if Eric Fisher is shit or not, but he made the pro bowl. What does sandbox think of Fisher?
