Can you name the 100 largest cities in the U.S. in 10 minutes?
https://hugequiz.com/quizzes/geograp...argest-cities/
As a tip, this is largest cities, not largest metro areas. Go here, type 100 into the box, and start typing. It puts up a handy map to help you out. It doesn't have a time limit, so give yourself 10 minutes and report back. I think about geography a lot, I mean a LOT, and I got 81. I missed a couple of obvious ones, but in looking at the ones I missed, 81 was about my limit. |
Love geography stuff, brb

in ten minutes i missed 29/100
I'm very southern california and vegas/phoenix/dallas-deficient. . Also the pins were off in some locations |
79/100, and that was with me taking an extra 2 minutes beyond the 10 to really think about some of those metro areas and all the cities proper that make up those population centers. In 10 minutes I probably got 76 or 77.
This is lot tougher than it looks. I've never been to Dallas, and there are a dick**** ton of random shitty cities to account for in that area. Never even ****ing heard of Garland, TX. I wonder if it almost wouldn't be easier to score a higher percentage on this quiz by adding more cities to the mix. It's definitely way easier to name cities when you only have to pick off one or two in a single state. |
I could do metro areas, cities would be hard with all the suburbs that are actually big.

California was killing me. Chula Vista? I also had a challenge in the DFW area and Phoenix area. For some reason I didn't scroll up high enough to notice the Washington state cities, so I missed some obvious ones there.

I missed about 50. Shit is tough with these large metro areas. California, Arizona, Texas and ****ing North Carolina killed me.
I will say it helps immensely to have lived in the states you're filling in. |
Spoiler!
You've gotta be shitting me. Did anyone guess that one? |

I was really pissed about that one. I aced every state I've lived in since my teenage years except Florida because of that place and I've never even heard of it. |

If I didn't live in Colorado, there's no way I would've known Aurora. |
75.... I was cocky, thinking the map would make it really easy, but blanked on some of the cities in Texas and California. Aurora was bugging me, I guessed Fort Collins and Boulder, but didn't zoom in far enough to see it was actually within the Denver metro (but wouldn't have guessed it anyway).
