Digital Cameras
I'm wanting to buy my wife a nice camera. I would like to spend less then $750. Any suggestions?

I don't own this particular model (yes) but when I was researching a higher end camera this one popped up quiet a bit and everyone I spoke to who owns one is very happy.

I may look around and see if I can find a T2 somewhere. |

If you don't plan on using it for video, the Nikon D3100 is a great entry-level DSLR for photography.
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...LR_Camera.html Aside from having better kit glass than the Canon counterparts, Nikon tends to be more a little more user-friendly. At its current price point at B&H, you will be well under the $750 mark, and for a new DSLR, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better value. |
Keep in mind that the nicest DSLR lenses cost at least $1000 themselves.

What are you going to be shooting mainly? How much is video important to you? Shooting mostly automatic, I reckon? By this example, you would like some good zoom action it seems...
